I was trying to think of ways to procrastinate, when it hit me: POST. Yeah, I've been out of sorts lately. Worked three days in a row, and school is kicking my ass. But I'm not going to talk about either of those things, because they're boring.First, it's time once again to take stock of all the ficcing I have to do. I'm sure many have noticed there's been a distinct lack of it lately. In progress: Wonderland's End - 3/?? done. (Right now, I'm estimating it will be about 12 chapters, but knowing how I can be sometimes, that might mean 30. T_T) Roads - 1/4 done. (Argh I need to renew my inspiration for this.) Orihime drabbles - 2/6 (to do: Ulquiorra, Chad, Keigo, Chizuru)To write: Yakuza!AU. Will be a long time coming, as it will be a long fic. Anyone have any good Yakuza-related stuff they'd like to pimp (with download links??) Movies/shows/manga, that kinda thing. IchiIshi fic for onthefloor That crack idea I had about Ishida meeting Zangetsu, and it being all awkward and cute like he's being introduced to his parents. Maybe that crack idea I had about the IchiIshi/Donuts double date. Okay, so what I really want to write is more IchiIshi. ¬_¬bleh, I'm sure I had one or two other things. This is why I need to WRITE THINGS DOWN. *dies*Next, I wanted to update everyone on the movie binge I've been on, with some rough impressions of what I've seen so far. I've been trying to watch the ones that were recced the most first. Kill Bill 2 - Cool, as one would expect from QT. Fave scene: when she took out the woman's eye. I lol'd so hard. PotC 2 - Tentacles. Um. Yeah. I love how the first 45 minutes of the movie had nothing to do with the plot. Fave scene: Tentacles. All of them. Sin City - I found it simultaneously annoying and awesome. I guess I didn't like the narrative style? But still, cool. Fave scene: Girl screaming over her hand, that was eaten by Elijah Wood. Another hearty LOL. The Prestige - Kinda cool . . . very boring in parts, but the ending was totally unexpected. Fave scene: I guess the end? With all the creepy water tanks. Yick. Snakes on a Plane - we've been over this. Shaun of the Dead - LOLOLOLOLOL. Fave scene: zombie girl in the garden. Children of Men - Holy crap wow yeah that was incredible. I generally find very few movies "omg so powerful and moving" but this one hit the mark with me somehow. Fave scene: when they walked out of the building through the army. The emotion in that scene was so perfect. It sounds so cheesy to say, but it makes you feel that life truly is a miraculous thing. The Illusionist - eeeeh. Movie romance kinda irritates me. And the ending was ENTIRELY too convenient. Probably the least favorite thing I've seen thus far. I really liked that orange tree thing though.Next to watch: I've got Idiocracy, Little Miss Sunshine, and Thank You for Smoking downloaded. I'm also downloading Infernal Affairs and The Departed, because tokyostory has got me interested in comparing the two.Aaaaand that is all I can think to talk about right now. PEESU OUTO.
