End of unlocked iPhones on AT&T?
Until now iPhone users who have unlocked their iPhone’s unofficially with the Dev Teams Yellowsn0w tool or GeoHot’s Purplesn0w tool they have been able to use their iPhone’s with their old AT&T sim cards no problem.
Well now, AT&T have started sending out messages to such customers requesting them to buy a data plan for their iPhone or they will shut off your sim card!
The message reads,
AT&T Free Msg: Important information! Your iPhone does not currently have the neccesary data plan required for all iPhones. Please call us by Sept. 14 to avoid an interruption of your data service. Our reps are ready for your call. Just dial 611. We appreciate your business.
What do you guys think about this? Is it wrong? I believe people should be able to not pay for the data if they so wish/cannot afford it.
