It's 8PM and it's still about 30C outside. That's just horrible. I dread what it's going to be like in December if's like this now. It's sapping my will to live as it is, and it's only going to get worse!I was planning on changing my layout again, but in the end I couldn't be bothered. However, I did go on an iconage spree. Some days I do have an attention span of more than ten seconds, but today was not one of them. However, there are a couple of things that have managed to occupy my attention. At least for the time being. I'm watching La Corda d'Oro ~primo passo~ and enjoying it (admittedly, though, I am the saddest kind of fangirl ever for Hihara, which is really the main reason I haven't lost interest yet. I have a lamentably bad track record with following anime). Basically, it's a typical girl-surrounded-by-bishounen anime, except with classical music. AND HIHARAAlso, continuing my trend of pathetic fangirl-ness, I'm watching Code Geass - Hangyaku no Lelouch (that's written "rurusshu" in katakana, if you're wondering how to pronounce it). I don't remember what I was looking at, but it mentioned Code Geass and that the character designs were done by CLAMP. That sold me on it immediately. The character designs actually remind me slightly of Gundam SEED as well--there's a girl who looks a lot like Lacus and I personally think Lelou looks like he could be Kamui and Kira's love-child.Code Geass is, more or less, a mecha anime. The basic plotline is that the Britannia Empire has conquered Japan, among other countries, and dispossessed the citizens. The title character, Lelouch, swears to bring down Britannia for the crimes it has committed. Lelouch himself is a very interesting character--he's quite ruthless and Machiavellian. Compared to the usual hero who hates war and only fights because he has to, Lelou would probably walk over piles of dead bodies without batting an eye in order to achieve his goal. I've seen him described as a "psychotic Kamui clone", which I think is reasonably accurate. (As a side note, I was surprised to find his seiyuu is Fukuyama Jun. His Lelou voice is a lot deeper than how I'm used to hearing him.)(Additionally, another thing that interests me about CG is the mechs. The way they move fascinates me--the Knightmare Frames have wheels of sorts, so they more glide than walk like the standard mech does. The Lancelot in particular looks very elegant when it moves. /geek)I'll also add that the music is awesome. /end Code Geass fangirling
