British electronic pioneer Luke Vibert has devoted virtually his entire career to shifting borders within electronic music. Now, true to his prolific nature, Vibert has announced that his third LP,“ We Hear You”, will be released in August on Planet Mu.
A trailblazer in the peculiar and odd, Vibert has maintained a sense of independence in the dance community with his many different guises: Wagon Christ, Amen Andrews, Kerrier District, Plug, The Ace of Clubs, Butler Kiev and Spac Hand Luke. Vibert’s last record “Rhythm” featured a downtempo, beats-oriented sound.
You can expect a return to the Vibert we all know and love. As he has described, “We Hear You” as a record full of "idiosyncratic samples, sweetly strange melodies, big bass and sloppy drums...connecting the dots between Terry Riley, dubstep bass and hip-hop".
Planet Mu will release Luke Vibert's “We Hear You” on August 10, 2009.
