I'm not dead. Really, I'm not.

Just realized it's been over a month since I last updated. Oops.Very little has happened, really. Got a new fandom. Got a mobile phone. Slept a ton. Changed my layout again, though I'm not completely satisfied with it.I watched The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Saturday. Beetlejuice was supposed to be on as well, but CSI was instead, the bastards. I liked TRHPS--it certainly isn't my favorite movie of all time, but it was enjoyable. My new fandom is D.Gray-man. The main character, Allen, reminds me a bit of Ed in that they have similar values (early Allen even vaguely resembles Ed). Lavi's my favorite character, because it seems I like either the stoic sort (e.g. Aoshi) or the more playful kind (e.g. Raiha). It's going to become an anime this year and while I'm not jumping up and down with glee, I'm interested in what they're going to make of it.Generally speaking, I'm an advocate for using the official spellings of character names. In Dorakishi fandom I use Alfeage and Teceous instead of Alfeegi and Tetheus (etc). However, I just can't bring myself to do so some of the names for D.Gray. The official spellings are way too WTF-inducing. A few examples:Fandom spelling vs. official spellingRabi - Lavi (I have no problems here. Rabi and Lavi are both actual names and neither looks too odd.)Linali Li - Lenalee Lee (Considering she's supposed to be Chinese, I think spelling her name as Lenalee is a strange move.)River Wenham - Reever Wenhamm (I like the sound of River better, but Reever's not too awful.)Aleister Crowley - Arystar Krory (... I think this speaks for itself.)Tiki Mick - Tyki Mikk (Makes me think of "womyn" and "vampyre" and other such pointless 'y's.)Rhode Camelot - Road Kamelot (Admittedly, the idea of someone being called "Road" made me snicker a little.)See what I mean?I have realized that there is actually a sort of antagonist I like. I still can't see the appeal in villains, but I've been noticing a pattern lately wherein I've liked a particular "bad" character: ones who are technically "bad" but not really willingly.Joshua is one of my favorite Chrno Crusade characters. He's a cold-blooded murderer and insane to boot. (Aion's the one who controls his behavior, however, not Joshua.)I find Kurei of Rekka no Honoo fascinating, and he's also a murderer. (I think it was the line about how he "left his heart with a woman" that sealed it for me.)I like Enishi of Rurouni Kenshin and the guy is batshit. (You gotta have sympathy for him, though.)In D.Gray, I like Tiki. Of course, since not much about him has been revealed, I don't know how well he fits.I'm kind of surprised to discover that I like any kind of antagonist. My adoration for the rather bastardly Fuuron of Haou Airen continues to defy logic, however.
