SMOKEBOX, a bunch of psychos from the Rhineland, Germany, started out in summer 2006 to reanimate the dead horses of Rock..n..Roll.
When truly disturbed manic guitar player JAY crashed into MR. TETZLAV, who suffers from instant debility, at some illustrous party, they realised being soulbrothers after looking into each other..s empty eyes. This gave hope for a wild and hedonistic musical future. And obviously, it was more serious than it first seemed.
JAY got in touch with his old bandmates from GREAT UNWASHED-times, the highly choleric DE BARRe and the ultrabrutal radiation victim TSCHERNO for bass and drums.
The first time the four got together made clear that a new wonderweapon against bad music, boredom and bourgeois conventions was invented here. The raw Punkrock..n..Roll roots of three backwoodmen melt with big-city-experienced Mr.Tetzlav..s colourful pop-blossoms into “something very intense”.
First recordings show that world domination (or was it damnation?) is just a question of time.
