It's not even a stretch to imagine Deastro's Randolph Chabot once owning a Trapper Keeper overflowing with drawings of verdant kingdoms, threatened by a nasty King of Darkness, and a plucky protagonist battling through vast hordes of fantasy-novel nerdom for the coveted Moondagger. The point-and-click wet dream with the same name sets the 22-year-old Detroit native up as a full-fledged synthpop Link. The Master Synth anyone? Maybe we're not that far off. Chabot did all the artwork for his previous releases and his Myspace denotes his influences with animated gifs of a slobbering Venom or dancing Bugs Bunny.
Moondagger follows the monstrously popular eMusic.com demo compilation Keepers, which Deastro recorded in his parent's basement, and released last year. The full-band lineup now features Jeff Supina (drums), Mark Smak (electric guitar), and Brian Connelly (bass, keyboard). Plus, the album's got a Beach Boys-meets-Armageddon track entitled: “Daniel Johnston Was Stabbed in the Heart with the Moondagger by the King of Darkness and His Ghost Is Writing this Song as a Warning to All of Us." M83 and Dan Deacon fans take heed. There's a new superhero in the skies.

5.The Veronicas - Untouched CDM (2009) (Pop) (Rapidshare,Megaupload,Zshare)

03. Untouched (Manhattan Clique Radio Edit) 3:44
Britain may be having an electropop moment, but that hasn't stopped
identical twins Lisa and Jess, known collectively as The Veronicas
from hoping there are still people out there who like a bit of guitar
with their synths. Having notched up two bestselling albums in their
native Australia and cracked the US top 20 with their punchy pop-rock
tunes, the girls are now aiming to win over us Poms.
Though it's been knocking about for a while, it's 'Untouched' that The
Veronicas are touting as their breakthrough single over here. Sounding
like a cross between Pink and Avril Lavigne at her least brattish, it
combines surging guitars, a naggingly effective string hook and
harmonies a-plenty before building to a catchy, attitude-packed chorus
There's little in the way of originality here, but the girls' vampish
style and quirky charm should work in their favour.

'Nothing To Worry About' is the much-hyped new single from Swedish trio Peter, Bjorn and John

He exclaimed: "Shitt is dope!! Drums are crazy and I like the kids on
the hook."

Drummer and visionary multi-instrumentalist Kane was a founding member of No Wave behemoth Swans, then the percussive thunder behind the minimalist ensembles of La Monte Young and the guitar armies of Rhys Chatham. Underlying it all is Kane's complete immersion in the blues. His second release is a masterpiece of raw, ass-thumping Americana. He lunges at breakneck boogies and tom-driven swamp stomps with equal abandon. Forget about The Black Keys; forget about The White Stripes. Merging hip-shake rhythm and lustrous harmonic bliss, Jonathan Kane is single-handedly reinvigorating the blues for the 21st century.
"Somewhere between Sonic Youth and Steve Reich...Interested in the crossroads of new music iconoclasm and experimental rock, he has a drummer's sense of steady dynamic development and an unapologetic love of noise. Virtuosic"

Grammy winner, Dave Alvin, has been roaming the highways of American music for
over a quarter century. During those decades he's busted speakers with roots
rock kick-starters, The Blasters, as well as mined the depths of country, folk
and blues with his solo projects. A mainstay during much of this journey has
been Alvin's electrifying band The Guilty Men. Following the recent death of
Dave's best friend and Guilty Men accordionist Chris Gaffney in early 2008
Alvin decided to move in an exciting new musical direction. In October 2008 he
stepped onto the stage of the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San
Francisco with an all-star, all-female group. Since dubbed The Guilty Women, the
group consists of Americana scene vets Cindy Cashdollar, Nina Gerber, Laurie
Lewis, Sarah Brown, Amy Farris, Christy McWilson and Lisa Pankrantz. Special
guests include Marcia Ball and Susie Thompson. The self-titled debut from this
unique assemblage of players, led by Alvin, is a spirited collection of
thoughtful yet dynamic tunes featuring world-class musicianship worthy of his
now legendary pedigree

storm. Thirty seven years later and Chris Adams is back with a stunning
new album.
