2009 release from the witty Welsh Hip Hop/Rap/Grime outfit. After a string of self released (and now heavily bootlegged) albums, Goldie Lookin Chain finally broke big in the summer of 2004. The GLC's popularity continued to spread, yet outrage was sparked when, in 2006, after selling eighty thousand copies of Safe As Fuck, the major label bigwigs decided to drop the band and concentrate on other, more namby pamby acts. Nonetheless, the band where not disheartened and put themselves into a self imposed exile whilst deciding which step to take next. During this time, self-sufficiency became the key and the GLC discovered the true meaning of the term 'rugged individualism'. A communal house was rented in Newport, and the band went back to the drawing board, creating a new catalogue of musical delights. After two years in solitary confinement, the band are ready to unleash their brand new music to an unsuspecting world.

Listen again to Yanni's melodies, composed over an incomparable 22-year career, and it becomes clear: The man's music was meant to be sung. Their first album, 2007's "Bright Leaf Left", was critically acclaimed from The City Pages to The Onion to The Village Voice. Fifteen years ago, Ice Palace's singer/songwriter Adam Sorensen and Cloud Cult's Craig Minowa spent a night writing and recording a song together. After years of separate endeavors, the two have re-aligned on this album. FIREBIRD, the British band led by former CARCASS/NAPALM DEATH
guitarist Bill Steer, will release its fifth album, "Grand
Union", on April 20. The CD was recorded and mixed over a
two-week period in May 2008 at Berno studios in Malm , Sweden
where FIREBIRD's second album, 2001's "Deluxe", was conceived
"Grand Union" features a couple of tracks that are "way
heavier than the stuff from the last two records," according
to Steer, plus no less than three cover versions: JAMES
TAYLOR's "One Man Dog", DUSTER BENNETT's "Worried Mind", and a
HUMBLE PIE number
FIREBIRD's current lineup includes Bill Steer (vocals
