I know, I know...Honestly, I didn't know what to write about! I didn't see any potential topics!
NOW, I finally found something for you guys. I was last weekend in the city and finally went to the MOMA, which wasn't really my thing, but I am glad I visited it. I think I am more into history and classics, rather than contemporary.
This was my favorite! Chandelier made of broken porcelan plates and cups. Now that's creative!
Since I went with two of my friends from school, one of them actually did her intership at the restaurant ''The Modern'', which is a part of the museum. We went to eat at the Bar room, which was an absolutely fantastic experience. I was amazed with exquisite glasses and utensils.
After an appetizer (Tarte Flambee - fenomenal!) and entree (salmon with horseradish crust on top of cabbage and Riezling foam - very very good) followed with a glass of good white wine, we got to try all the desserts from the menu thanks to my friend who worked there.
Here they are!
Apple strudel with prune armagnac ice-cream
Beignets with maple ice-cream, caramel sauce, and mango jam
Cheesecake with passionfruit sorbet and chunks of pineapple and mango
Hazelnut dacquoise with milk chocolate chantilly
And another restaurant you have to check out if you're in NYC is Bocca. Stunning Italian food, great atmosphere, most of the waiters are Italian, and their coctails are exceptional.
Did I mention I went to the Union square cafe?
That will be a topic for next time...
