Starbucks has come out and announced that they are going to be removing any product that contains peanut butter due to the salmonella outbreak.
There has been a lot of fear among Americans lately in regards to the use of peanut butter in products.
This is due to the latest salmonella outbreak that has hit the U.S.
The outbreak, which began last September, has spread across the U.S. and has hit 43 states.
In total, around 500 people have fallen ill due to the salmonella bacteria, with 7 deaths being traced back to it.
The outbreak has been traced back to the Blakely, Georgia plant of the Peanut Corporation of America.
Starbucks has stated that their peanut butter supplier of not Peanut Corporation of America, but that they are not ready to take any chances.
For those of you wondering which products are being pulled, they include their granola bar, chocolate peanut butter oat bar, peanut butter cookie, and others.
The products have been taken off of store shelves as of last Tuesday.
