Search for kanji by using the built-in Chinese Handwriting Recognition Keyboard which can be enabled in the Keyboards section of your device's settings (Unfortunately, there is no Japanese Handwriting Keyboard, but the Chinese Handwriting Keyboard, however, is able to recognize nearly all Kanji)
