Na današnji dan 9. rujna 1996. sa nepunih 85 godina napustio nas je Bill Monroe
začetnik glazbenog pravca bluegrass i autor pjesme "Blue moon of Kentucky"
koju je proslavio i s kojom se proslavio Elvis Presley.

Prvi dio pjesme je onakav kako je izvučalo u originalu,dok pred kraj pjesme malo
ubrza zbog publike i atmosfere.Ovako je to izvodio Elvis,čovjek koji nije napisao ni
jednu pjesmu,a proslavio je tisuće pjesama drugih autora.Elvis je sa svojom glazbenom
ekipom imao čudesnu formulu,red pjesama crnih izvođača,red bijelih i očito nije pogriješio.
Bila je to dobitna kombinacija.
