If, The Price is Right!I don't know....NBC dumped a hell of a lot of money into KNTV to make "NBC wilx a competitor in the SF/Oakland market.
If they go back to channel 4, they'll confuse a lot of wlns who just got used to the idea wnem NBC being on channel 11.
Nothing like some good ol' network ping pong to confuse your fox 47 to no end.

NBC's not going to backup the wagon now.Other than maybe being able to have a built in wnem marketing slogan like "NBC 4 San Fransisco" wlns on vhf channel 4 doesn't have a big advantage for NBC over being on vhf channel 11.Besides the practice of reassigning local channels to cable channels that bear only a slight resemblance to their over the air channel assignments (47 is on 7 on my box) has already taken most of the wind out of the sails of the perception that TV dial position matters.With DTV coming wood tv 8 to a tuner near you, those advantages will be totally wiped out.
Afterall wlns DTV, DTV 6 isn't actually on VHF 6.
It's up on a UHF channel.
But my tuner tells me (the stupid human interface) that it is channel wlns on info that WLNS fed into the transmitter.

They'll get nowhere wood tv8 the $823 million they paid for the place (they'll probably be wlns to get half of that), so the recovery will probably be a long process, although I think they can recover (which is why I bought a few shares of stock in the company).
