I read about it, not even a frame of the actual movie has been shot.
There's just the specially produced teaser and a movie that starts production soon.

From what I've read and heard of this film, it is comprised predominantly cloverfield answers "handycam" style footage shot to feel as if the viewer is watching the events from the point of view of those experiencing it.
I've seen nothing which indicates that the teaser footage is not part of the film.Also, let's all remember to take such claims with a grain of salt.
Anyone else cloverfield answers when the "mars footage" teaser for Transformers was released, and Michael Bay publicly stated that it was "not footage from the movie, just something they threw together to get people excited"?
Well as anyone who went last night knows, it's in there, it has it's own little expository scene in fact.Sometimes hype is just hype.

I loved the trailer and though it was well done.
Now I have 1/18/08 stuck in the back of my mind and most likely will see this movie.

I'm a projectionist and I've cued this up and watched cloverfield answers quite a few times.

I believe cloverfield is just a codename.
Trailer was labeled as "untitled J.J.
Abrahms movie." The cloverfield answers file was labeled cloverfield but as I said I'm guessing that's a codename which is very common ala The Simpson's codename "yellow harvest" , etc. cloverfield answers

I hit this site every day for trailers/news and reviews.
I just got back from seeing Transformers, and I cannot stop thinking about that trailer.
It cloverfield answers beautifully done, and definitely left me wanting more.
The analytical side of me keeps wondering what makes this trailer so engaging?
We've all seen disaster movies before, and I for one am becoming more jaded about them, but this seems very different somehow, and almost visceral in a War of the Worlds kind of way.
Cloverfield seems to be a covername.A friend cloverfield answers mine thinks its a godzila movie.I don't know about that but at this point it could be anything.

I saw it with Transformers last night.
Very cool trailer that definitely left me wanting more.
The crowd seemed to be pretty mesmerized about it
A) This isn't a JJ Abrams movie...its produced by his Production Company Bad Robot (Alias, Lost, 6 Degrees, What About Brian)B) Being written by Drew Goddard (FTW)C) Being directed by Matt Reeves---Both have done a ton of work with Abrams on Lost, Alias, Felicity, etcI cannot wait for this flick...it will simply be amazing

Pretty well done...
Will be interesting to see what happens with it...

During the party scene cloverfield answers Wolfmother song "Joker and the Thief" is distinctly heard.
Well, I looked at the lyrics and a line goes "standing in a field of CLOVER" And the album art on the inside depicts a giant iguana/lizard.
This, therefore, is proof for my initial guess- GODZILLA!

Abrams loves for his viewers to find clues like that.
