The couple never married, although Ann Marie often used his last name.
Walter claimed that she dropped their children off at his former residence on Oronocco Lane in Manassas in December 1995.
He stated that Ann Marie then traveled to the Philippines, where some of her relatives resided.
Her sister said that she had an argument with her around the time Ann 1995 13th amendment was last seen.
They were estranged at the time Ann Marie disappeared.
She has never been heard from again.Walter was charged with the murder of Douglas Alexander Small, an America Online Inc.
(AOL) marketing director, in December 2001.
Authorities said that Walter confessed to the 1995 13th amendment shortly after his arrest later same month.
Investigators believe that Walter shot Small to death after the men had an argument regarding Walter's renovation work for Small's Washington, D.
C. residence. Authorities said that Walter allegedly moved Small's body to Alexandria, Virginia, where Small's remains were discovered shortly after his death.Ann Marie's sister filed a missing person's report for her after Walter's arrest.
She told authorities that she did not contact law enforcement after Ann Marie disappeared due to their disagreement.
Investigators do not know if Ann Marie left the United States as Walter maintains and are continuing to search for her.
Her sister stated that Ann Marie would not have abandoned her children and traveled to the Philippines.Authorities said that there is no 1995 13th amendment of foul play in Ann Marie's case, but her whereabouts remain unknown.
It is not clear if Walter was involved in her disappearance.
