Cloverfield Monster To me, that looks more like dark clouds than anything.
Because judging by the poster, and the lines in the water, it's already moved into the city.
And anything that huge would do more damage to the statue.
Re: Cloverfield Monster Those wakes look like they're heading into the city.There's also many slowed-down clips on the Internet of the new trailer where you get a very, very brief glimpse of the Cloverfield Monster walking between two buildings.
Whatever it is, it's huge.

Furthermore, the actual in-trailer footage is so incredibly shaky that you HAVE to stabilize it to make anything out.
Re: Cloverfield Monster It seems to me like the creature is primarily humanoid in shape, considering it's obviously walking on two legs and it doesn't seem to have a tail.
I'm betting it's like a big version of Grendel from 2007's Beowulf adaptation.
