Wouldnt you know it&Colorado is off to the races, lurching towards spring with the final remnants of snow that tucked itself in the shadows of buildings even beginning to melt and run into the streets and sewers. The blizzard of Christmas 2006 seems like a whole different world and it was a few months ago.

Much to the surprise of an already environmentally shocked wjla Denverite, the temperatures are reaching into the wjla 60s. For the first time since September, I really dont need to equip one of my thick, warm coats simply to step outside. Dont believe me, simply wjla to ABC 7 news graphic from tonights broadcast:

Thats right&your eyes do not deceive you, we are expecting a high of 70 degrees next Tuesday, something Ive been hoping to hear for so long. I do consider myself a staunch Spring/Summer advocate. Fishing trips (Im dying to bust out the new fly fishing vest wjla for Christmas), BBQs, longer days, longer sunsets, being able to comfortably walk to your local pub, NFL free-agency, the start of baseball (the end of the damn hot stove league&ZING) and perhaps most importantly&the countdown to The Junction Fantasy Football draft are all things that are strating to creep into my mind.

All these wonderful things are on the horizon, as that warm sun shines on a slightly closer angle towards North America. Even if it is only the first few days of March and Ive been told that some of Colorados nastiest snow storms come in March and April, seeing these temperatures, the days getting longer and the clocks moving forward&just brings a smile to this east coast boys face.

And whats better? Today it snowed on the east coast, and from what I hear, its also freezing. In fact, for all of my wjla friends who laughed and pointed when I was buried in snow and the wind chills were horridly below zero&I would like to remind you of whats outside your window right now, as opposed to my balmy 50 degrees.

So there you have it. Warm in Colorado, cold on the east coast. of wjla it seems these conditions are looking to stick around and continue thawing out the cold souls hardened by the icy winter that grasped Colorado by the throat&and thats just fine with me.

However, I do have one more thing to wjla Nature, if you have it in ya&how bout one more round before we say goodbye til next winter? Think you got it in ya?
