I finally got the call (though not from the team Id hoped). Ive always dreamed the Cardinals would, after pouring over some of my high school stats, call and ask if Id consider being their new shortstop. Instead of playing baseball with the Cardinals, Ill be playing Whiffle Ball for Legacy Fencing! Im not sure how much Im being paid.

We have a new indoor Whiffle Ball league in Conway. My friend Thomas, who put the team together, says we are by far the oldest team playing. The rest of the teams are made up of college guys. So I was thinking that we should go all out - like were really serious. We could wear batting gloves and black paint under our eyes. We could wear hard helmets when batting. We could chew Big League Bubble Chew and give each other signs - even though there is no bunting or stealing in Whiffle Ball.

I need more ideas. What else could we do to make complete fools of ourselves? And what should our team jerseys say?
