CONFERENCE SOUTH

Havant & Waterloovile – Basingstoke 1 (1.91 @Blue Square) 7 units

If you think Basingstoke had a great match this Saturday and that now they're ready for another away surprise, well, not really, Basingstoke just had some luck in the match at Bath City and we didn't – as simple as that. Bath conceded an unlucky goal and after that, they laid siege to the Basingstoke goal – hit the crossbar a couple of times and a couple of their players got injured (Bath's goalkeeper got injured after all three subs came in, so they even played without a proper goalkeeper for the last ten minutes). We simply had no luck s. But two times in a row... No, that would be too much.

Havant & Waterloovile are one of the best home teams in the non-league world. This season they lost only to Lewes (currently 2nd, they were the league leaders at the time) and after losing a manager to Eastleigh (big money involved, at least big for this league), they all have some things to prove to the new one (basically, it's the old assistant manager, but he's the boss now). Havant are currently 8th, but with just three points less than 3rd Bishop's Stortford.

Even with some more bad luck, Havant's best scorer Rocky Baptiste will probably manage to score a winner against Basingstoke, just like he did last season. Basingstoke are traditionally lousy away at Havant and they still have some injury problems...

(Bet365 are also offering 1.91, Sportingbet has 1.90... Stanleybet offers 1.85...)

FT 1:1

Weston-super-Mare – Eastleigh 2 /DRAW NO BET (2.30 @Betway) 4 units

Monster odds for this DRAW NO BET (in case of an away win – the bet is won, in case of a draw – you get the money back) option at Betway.

After bringing in a succesful manager from Havant, putting Lewes off the top of the league with a 3:0 win this Saturday and recieving a significant financial boost – anything is possible and Weston are not the team to be afraid of even if they're currently 9th (Eastleigh are 10th with 19 points, just like them).

Eastleigh brough in a couple of new players, they're bursting with confidence at the moment and Weston-super-Mare just lost 0:4 at home to Bishop's Stortford. I'm not saying that Weston are a bad team this season, but let's look at the teams they've beat – Thurrock, Sutton (twice), Bognor Regis, Havant and Dorchester. All relegation candidates except Havant, but Havant are lousy away from home and they were in the biggest crisis when they played Weston.

Weston also shared points at another relegation candidates, Hayes & Yeading, and lost to Fisher, Bath City, Braintree (at home), Eastleigh (yes, it was 3:2 for the home team at Eastleigh already), Team Bath (from the league below, in the FA Cup), Bath City again (in the Setanta Cup) and Bishop's Stortford (at home). They're currently searching for a defender after they lost Clark. Weston were terrible in the last month of the 06/07 season (April, played six matches, lost five) and after having a bright start of the campaign (two wins in first four matches, then three defeats, then five wins, including an FA Cup win at lower league's Oxford City, then again three defeats, including Cup matches and a terrible defeat at home to Bishops this Saturday), I'm afraid they will go down soon.

Eastleigh, on the other hand, really started playing well – they're doing great in the FA Cup (3:1 at Hamworthy, 5:0 at home against Clevedon) and don't forget four points in the last two very tough league rounds (2:2 at Bishop's Stortford and 3:0 at home against Lewes – both teams are title candidates, probably biggest of all).

These two teams played together five teams in the last 24 months – Eastleigh won three times and they shared points twice.

You should also check the Pinnacle odds – at this moment, even a draw brings us profit there. The current line is (+0.25) but (+0) is also okay...

(Skybet offers 2.88 on a normal away win, StanJames, Bwin and Stanleybet all offer 2.80, but I like these DRAW NO BET odds much more. The best double chance X2 odds are at Paddy Power – 1.57 – and at Bwin – 1.56...)
