Why...'cause they are here...again....my personal favourite musical bend of all times...no one will come before and after...it is strange..i don't "like" rock n roll...i mean i like it but selected things...old stuff..like Doors...David Bowie...and so on..Bowie like Ziggy of course..and first time in 1997 i heard..hmm i saw a track on MTV called Paranoid Android...and i was changed forever...same like when i listen for the first time CD02 Mayday Judgement Day compilation...i was so scared 'cause i felt like i finally found what i was lookin for in music...
So Radiohead will rls. new album on 10/10/2007 called In Rainbows...if You never heard them TRUST ME YOU MUST...maybe start with Kid A 'cause it is electronical music meets rock n roll ....it was heavily influenced by Aphex Twin and all Warp records catalogue..

OK so here are some other tunes..

So i really made it easy for You, all You have to do is download it and N-JOY, please belive me...i know many of You thinks that they are "depressive" or "snobz" or i don't know what else but here is what i think(all people that don't like them has the same reasons)
I don't like them 'cause they are:
Yeah..i mean if You really listen to music like it should be done(not in background)then when You listen to them, You will feel emotions, You will feel some strange emotions that You don't like 'cause it is only Your soul speaking which is full of shit from world and people around You and of course that You feel pain and distres..
I felt it too but i had balls and said to myself...the pain is good..the pain confirms that i'm still alive, i'm still human and i don't like this money world..usually if something is good it hurts...
You just must feel emotions and i know that after few tracks You will be scared and vulnerable like i was(i was listening to Kid A first time around 02.00am and i was crying on 4th track "How to ...." BUT what i received from them was deeper sense of world and people around You, i can honestly say that Radiohead made me better man(really i don't make this up)
Yeah many people say that they are acting snobbish due to their HARD views on politics, enviroment and record industry..so step by step..
politics - they named their 6th album "Hail to the Thief" and by "thief" they meant George W. Bush..so hail to them for being true and honest 'cause in that time 2002-03 not so many people especially artists was loud in saying what we all knew that George pushed his country in war without ANY real proof for going on Iraq..ok Sadam is lucifer BUT there are so many lucifer like Milosevich(serb president) and i didn't see Americans going on him so quick, i mean i just can't forget on "little" thing called oil...USA now is poor country with lousy education, health system and so on.
All money is going for war and they fired so many doctors and teachers..did You know that if You are poor in USA...well it is better to die then 'cause You are in problems if You're sick(M.Moore in Sicko said all), and did You know goverment high scholl-average number in one class is around 45-50!!!!
enviroment - what to say on this matter...we are melting and that is it...
record industry - they hate it and they are not affraid to say it loud..they hate rec.industrie 'cause they say that there are not so many talented people..true...there is but they are affraid to "gamble" or better said to invest in "different" music, on the other side if You are a artist You will sell Your soul to them, i think on every sold cd artist maybe gets max.10% of money..everything else is going...You know where...
Solution..after finishing their contract with EMI, this is their first album without label!!! They are the first band(so big and popular) to rls. their album WITHOUT label..they sell rls. trough their web-page in digital format...
"While many industry observers speculated that Radiohead might go off-label for its seventh album, it was presumed the band would at least rely on Apple's iTunes or United Kingdom-based online music store 7digital for distribution. Few suspected the band members had the ambition (or the server capacity) to put an album out on their own. The final decision was apparently made just a few weeks ago, and, when informed of the news on Sunday, several record executives admitted that, despite the rumors, they were stunned. "This feels like yet another death knell," emailed an A&R executive at a major European label. "If the best band in the world doesn't want a part of us, I'm not sure what's left for this business."
So that is it...as You can tell i'm very passionate about them 'cause they gave me so much..
I know that You will not like them on first listening...maybe second...third..fourth..fifth...BUT then something will click in You..You will feel diferent...and You will LOVE THEM..reason...Your soul needs some time to open 'cause it is closed due to "outside impact"
At the end i give You their 3rd album rls. in 1997 which was theirs "dark side of the moon", "Sgt.Peppers.." or "White Album" etc.
It was hailed as one of the best r'n'r albums of all time, they invented "new" r'n'r sound..really!!! and they really made a difference in r'n'r music in 1990's and they were on the top of the world..biggest bend in that time..
So what did they do after that album...they COMPLETELY changed sound and path....so after OK Computer they made Kid A(heavily influenced by Aphex Twin, Dj Shadow and ALL Warp records catalogue...why they didn't continue with Ok Comp. "recipe"..why they didn't do what red hot chilli pepers did..or U2..or so many others "best bends" in the world.....it is really simple answer...'cause they are true musicans ..which means that they are following their mind and soul...not their pocket...
I mean i can understand that it's much easier to copy Your last album sounds if it was big sucess...i know it is hard to "lose" Your big house or swimming pool..or nice cars...and so on...but remeber..if we did had only artists like RHCP or U2 and so many others...music would be soo poor and would go only backward...
p.s.
01. sorry for long post
02. i wasn't trying to be smart on anything....i'm only passionate
03. i wasn't trying to hurt anybody feelings if You like RHCP or U2..i'm just saying what is true(to have "something" in Yourself like RHCP or U2 and then to "play it safe" is cowardness
tip.
listen to Radiohead albums by rls. date to see what i'm talkin about
peace
