Call for submissions from live artists, body artists and experimental performers
Arnolfini and La Pocha Nostra are seeking live artists, body artists and experimental performers to take part in the development of a major new La Pocha Nostra production on 3 – 10 November 2007.
The project entitled The New Barbarian Collection Fall 2007” Designer primitives on the runaway runway will take the form of “a fashion show of transgressive and hybrid identities.” We are seeking 12 individuals to spend 7 days in Bristol, working closely with La Pocha Nostra members (5 day intensive workshop plus set up day and performance day).
The project forms part of Arnolfini’s Port City project and will contribute to Bristol’s Abolition 200 programme, commemorating the 200th anniversary of the abolition of slavery.
