can i say to you all the things i want...which haunt me...?
what would you see in me then?
would you think ill of me?
would you lose your respect for me?
would you still think i'm funny and interesting?
would you still want me?
or would you be disappointed?
maybe you'll hate me?
discard me like a piece of broken glass? so you don't get cut..
would you think i'm a liar and cold-hearted manipulator? a bitch?
would it matter that i really care about you?
that you make me smile?
that you've pushed those hidden buttons?
maybe I don't know you that good..and you happen to be a greater person than i am and i'll ever be.
and maybe, just maybe you care for me...
so i sit here paralysed with dreadful fear and endless misery..
hoping that you just care enough..
