Land of Imagica Part 2 - "Troubles"

Ghondar was still in his bed. He was awoken by a slight breeze coming from his open window. He stretched and yawned as he got up. He changed into his ordinary clothes and got to the kitchen. Miss Tilmarande was setting the table for breakfast. She smiled at him, but Ghondar saw something wrong in her smile. *Could... She know?* He quickly shook off the thought from his head and sat down. "Wow mom, this is delicious! The best I've had yet!" He was eating up quickly which made his Mother smile. "Oh you crack me up... I've been making this dish every day." She was enjoying herself, but a thought troubled her. Ghondar could see that something was wrong yesterday when he left. "Listen... Mom." Ghondar started speaking, but words barely got out. "I'm... Gonna become a great Adventurer like Dad." Ghondar looked up to his mother and got in for a surprise. "Yea... I know Kid. You are leaving today aren't you? Oh you kids grow up so fast... Well, it had to happen someday... You have your fathers blood. I still remember how I first met him. Well the only thing that's important for you is to take care of yourself? Got it Kid?" She got up and hugged Ghondar. He was shocked, but hugged her back. "I will take care mom... I will." Ghondar said as he got up and waved his Mother farewell. She was waving with proud spotted in her eyes. Ghondar spotted Khazzam waiting for him on the Main Square. He waved to him, but as a reply he got a slight smirk. Typical for Khazzam. He waved to him, and they both headed towards the Armory, without saying a word. "So... How'd it go with your family?" Ghondar asked Khazzam of sheer curiosity. "Oh? Nothing really, I left a message." Khazzam seemed emotionally unaffected by that question and replied in a cold manner. "You bastard." Ghondar said as they entered the Armory. The Blacksmith looked at them and started walking into the back of the Shop. He got back with 2 Breastplates and Legplates. "Is this what you wanted?" The Blacksmith smiled a little, but tried to cover it. "This will do, thank you Sir." Ghondar said and then looked at Khazzam which seemed to be examining the armor. The Blacksmith leaned his head low for a second, then said "That will be 50 Gold Coins." Ghondar handed him a bag with Gold Coins in it and took the armor, as did Khazzam. They both walked out of the store without saying Goodbye. They started walking towards the village exit into the Dead Woods. The Dead Woods were a passageway into the Valley of Voices, and were also accompanied by bloodthirsty demons that have seen no light in thousands of years. The only thing that was binding them to the forest was the Curse of The Dead. Ghondar and Khazzam got out of the village in slow footsteps and stopped before the entrance into the Woods. "Ok...? This seems stupid enough." Ghondar said as he was gazing into the pure darkness that was engulfing the forest, and the path that was ending in neverending darkness. "What is stupid? The fact that two idiotic teenagers are about to enter a fucking forest accompanied by dead bastards?" Khazzam said as cold as ever. "To be blunt, yes." Ghondar agreed on this one, as amazed as he was. They put on their armors, prepared for anything. The fact that the forest was still dark, even though it was morning sounded like bad news for them. They were having second thoughts, but Khazzam just started walking forward. "Hey wait you idiot! We're not even sure what it is in the forest!" Ghondar started shouting but it didn't seem to affect Khazzam. He started following Khazzam and looking around. Moments later they couldn't see the entrance anymore. Nor the exit, for that matter. Khazzam was somewhat scared, but not as nearly as Ghondar. He was shivering and thinking of the worst possible things that could happen to them. Khazzam was amazed by the dark vastness of the forest, but concentrated on the road ahead. It was dark, but the path emited a weird light that seemed to keep travellers on the road. Suddenly, a noise came from within the forest. Khazzam and Ghondar jumped back in surprise, and drawed out their swords. They heard multiple noises from behind and front. Khazzam had a hard time telling from where the noises came from. Suddenly something pulled Ghondar into the woods. Khazzam started running towards Ghondar and shouting, but he seemed to be too slow. Ghondar was pulled with a powerful force. Suddenly, he stopped, as he knocked himself into a nearby tree. The blood was dripping from his mouths and he took a moment to look around. He saw a corpse, half chewed hanging from a tree which made him even more afraid. He heard a noise behind him, the noise of the creature that pulled him. He was immobilised, due to his injuries. He heard immense screaming coming from behind. The screaming was becoming louder and louder as the creature was moving closer and closer. The creature seemed to stop, and then fall on the floor dead. "Booya!" Khazzam yelled as he cut off the creature's head and kicked it far away. He got Ghondar on his back and started running towards a direction that seemed to be the exit, atleast on the base of his instincts. Ghondar whinced in pain, but Khazzam ran as fast as ever. "Sorry, pal, we gotta get out of this wretched forest for good!" Khazzam was trying to be gentle, but Ghondar's injuries were serious. A single movement made him whince in pain, not to mention the running and the comotion it was causing. He saw a light, coming from the sky. "Finally! The exit!" He started running faster. They finally got out of the forest safe, but Khazzam still needed to treat Ghondar's wounds. He set up a campfire and something that seemed like a tent. Ghondar fell asleep, due to the pain. Khazzam took a swift look around and noticed that they were in fact located in the Valley of Voices. He smirked for a second and took a quick look around. Around the place that they were located, there was a shrine, a forest and a lake. The forest was called the Pegasus Forest. He thought It'd be better to camp by the lake, but Ghondar was far too injured to be moved again. It started to rain and Khazzam used the Adventure Kit to make a tent. "That's why I never leave home without it..." He took off Ghondar's and his breastplate and legplate and lied down to sleep. "Good Night my friend."
