I have been thinking about writing a post whole week but everything else got in the way. During the week I was busy and when the weekend came, I've got a new mobile phone. I have been pushing some serious buttons with great amazement. Me, not understanding what do they put into that small box that makes it work so perfectly?
One of this days, I am planning to finally teach my grandpa to use the mobile phone. I have been trying to do that for sometime now, but he kinda is not that interested. But every now and then, he mentions how he would need a phone when he's going on some thrips of his.
I have problems with teaching him technical stuff. He learns (and forgets) things by heart, he does not check what the screen says. If something goes wrong...expl. if he skips some action (all of those "actions" have numbers) or if he makes a mistake and pushes more than one button at the time...then he just gets offended by the machine. Usually, he is telling me that the "machine" is broken. He has no patience for that sort of thing and I must admit (although it is bad) that I have not that much patience for explaining things over and over again. I would if I knew he would remember it this time. I know that most of older people do not7 do not want to get that stuff, but...
The point of this post is that I do not understand how can this happen!!? That guy has more knowledge about various things (especially history, geography, politics, music...) than anyone I know. He also, still reads and educates himself. How the hell is it possible that he cannot use the mobile phone??? Me, not understanding!!
However, I will explain the usage of phones again, maybe this time is the...right time!
What is internet anyway? Does all "that" come from a machine?
