IRON MAIDEN
Ejjj,evo i mene....I'm back(in black),danas ću pisat o jednoj ODLIČNOJ grupi,koja je- osim Gunsa ,obilježila povijest heavy metala,kao što se vidi po naslovu,ta grupa je IRON MAIDEN. Pa evo nešto o njima...
Iron Maiden, danas sinonim heavy-metala, osnovan 1975. Njegov osnivač Steve Harris, osim frontmena ima i ulogu basista, uz gitariste Adriana Smitha, Dave Murraya i Janicka Gersa, bubnjara Nicku McBraina te pjevača Brucea Dickinsona. Ukupno su izdali 24 albuma, od toga 5 live-albuma, 5 best-off, 13 studio i jednu PC-igru (Ed Hunter) s nekim njihovim izvedbama. Njihova maskota, Eddie, ne može se svrstati niti u jednu skupinu "čudovišta". Izgledom podsjeća na spoj kostura i zombija.
POVIJEST
Bend je osnovan 1975. u istočnom Londonu od "ruke" basista Steve Harrisa, kojem se nekoliko mjeseci kasnije pridružio i gitarist Dave Murray. Danas, 30 godina kasnije, njih dvojica još uvijek sviraju kao članovi Iron Maidena. Zanimljivo je to što se je Steve Harris odlučio posvetiti glazbi nakon odustajanja da zaigra profesionalan nogomet u klubu West Ham.

ZANIMLJIVOSTI
Ime benda potječe od srednjovjekovne sprave za mučenje zvana Iron Maiden ili Željezna djeva koju je osnivač Steve Harris vidio u filmu "Čovjek sa željeznom maskom".
