On May 15th Total Science release their fourth album, "Mars Needs Total Science". Oxford's favourite Drum & Bass hedonists have toiled for over a year on this project and have bought in a wide range of guests and influences. The album was recorded in their native Oxford and in Philadelphia and it is the sound of the Philly Soul vocalists that is felt most strongly - Trevor Nelson is already playing "Vibe" and 1Xtra's Ronnie Harel is giving it airtime too - but they haven't left the d&b behind either. On a stunning album both DJ Craze and MC Conrad can be found lurking with intent. With a track (`Defcom VIP') featured on EA Game's "Fifa Streets 2" and a tour taking in Movement, Fabric, Ministry of Sound and The Scala in London "Mars Needs Total Science" looks set to be their biggest album release so far...
