Svi ste već zasigurno čuli za Mikeov projekt-Fort Minor. U jednom je interviewu rekao da je htio surađivati samo s njegovom obitelji i najbližim prijateljima...
Taj je projekt nazvan Fort Minor jer ga, osim njega, radi još nekolicina ljudi.
O imenu---- Fort- ima militarističko značenje; Minor-to je u muzici mala,dar nota tako da se ta riječ reflektira na muziku...
Na tom solo projektu Mikea Shinode su sudjelovali: Styles of Beyond, Common, John Legend, Black Thought iz The Roots, Kenna i Holly Brook. A producent albuma je ekskluzivno Jay-z.
U trenutnom hitu 'Believe me' s Mikeom rap verziju pjevaju Styles of Beyond. To je jedan tako rečeni duo dvaju Los Angeleskih MC-a Ryu i Takbir.

Primjedba:
Iako je izlazak najavljen 22.11. kad sam došla u cd-shop prodavač me blijedo pogledao i rekao da oni nemaju još ni najavu tog cd-a. A kad me pitao tko je to ja sam mu odgovorila:'Mike Shinoda je izdao svoj samostalni album'. Na to se on nasmiješio i rekao da za takva velika imena kao Mark(da Mark nije ni znao za njega) čuju prije. Znam da treba vremena da iz SAD-a do Hrvatske dode cd ali mislim da bi barem najavu mogli imati, jer ipak će se taj cd vrtiti sljedećih minimalno godinu dana.
