The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Messinia would like to announce you that we are looking for
volunteers for the pilot programme “I WANT TO HELP!”.
The programme will start on 15th November and will end at 15th January 2006. The volunteers have the
possibility to choose tha starting date of the programme.

The programme is addressed to young people, between the age 20 – 30 , that will help old people in the
region of MESSINIA in the process of picking olives. The olive tree is one of the main source of income in the region and it is a vital tree for the local community.
The basic activity of the volunteer will be to help old people in the process of picking olives.

WE OFFER:
- a 2 days on-arrival seminar in Kalamata in which we will inform the volunteer about the host
country/intercultural learning/lessons of Greek language and culture
- accommodation (the volunteer will be hosted in a family, in the country side.He/she will have a
separate bedroom, with access to the kitchen and bathroom).
- Food (the volunteer will eat together with the host family)
- Poket money (we will offer 140 euro / month for personal expenses of the volunteer).
- Health insurance
- The working schedule will be 6 hours a day, from Monday to Friday, weekends free.
