Ovo je prije nekoliko dana osvanilo na sajtu Dave Navarra, člana grupe Janes Addiction i bivšeg člana RHCPa:
3. Mislite li ima li ikakve šanse da se John Frusciante pojavi na stageu Camp Freddya?
Baš sam neki dan razgovarao s njim i pitao ga bili volio nastupati.
CAMP FREDDY is not a band, but it is also way more than a jam session…CAMP FREDDY is an ‘Occasional Happening’, a freak of (Hollywood) nature. What happens when we get together and play is anyone’s guess. Surprise guests, lounge singers turned heavy rock superstars, some of the world’s greatest guitarists playing three chord punk tunes. I mean, who knows what will happen at the next show? It’s not about money, or managers, or agents, but about motivation and fun…What we all got into the business for originally. We play some of the greatest rock and roll songs ever written, have a real laugh doing it, and invite artists that we respect to play them with us. It’s the real spirit of Rock and Roll." --Billy Morrison, Guitarist / Camp Freddy
CAMP FREDDY, headed up by Billy Morrison (Doheny, The Cult), Dave Navarro (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane’s Addiction), Matt Sorum (Guns N Roses, Velvet Revolver), Donovan Leitch (son of legendary folk singer Donovan), and Chris Chaney (Janes Addiction, Alanis Morrisette) was created for the sole purpose have having a good time. They have, in just a handful of shows, played on both coasts of America, opened the largest strip club in the world, and been joined onstage by an amazing list of artists to perform some of the greatest rock songs ever written.
The list of guests that have joined CAMP FREDDY onstage grows longer and more outrageous with each concert. So far, artists such as Moby, Robbie Williams, Ronnie Wood, Stephen Jenkins, Billie Joe Armstrong, Mark McGrath, Slash, Brett Scallions, Macy Gray, Perry Farell, Wes Scantlin, Billy Duffy, Fabrizio Moretti, Stephen Perkins, Twiggy Ramirez, Duff McKagan, Sebastian Bach, Kid Rock, Melissa Etheridge, Gina Gershon, Dee Snider, Gavin Rossdale, Steven Tyler, Juliette Lewis, Chad Smith, Jerry Cantrell, Shelby Lynne, Jonathan Davis, Cypress Hill, and many more have played with the band. They have performed such classics as “Paradise City”, “Whole Lotta Love”, “Pretty Vacant”, “Jean Genie”, “You Shook Me All Night Long”, “20th Century Boy”, “Brown Sugar”, “Should I Stay or Should I Go” and many of your other favorite songs.
CAMP FREDDY, whose name was derived from a character in the classic Michael Caine movie, “The Italian Job” will be hosting a show on L.A.’s hottest new radio station Indie 103.1 FM every Saturday from 6 to 8 PM. Half the excitement of this radio program will be seeing what superstar will join them, but, like their legendary live shows, you can be sure a great time will be had by all.
