The first duty of a leader is to make himself be loved without courting love. To be loved without 'playing up' to anyone - even to himself.

O, it is excellent to have a giant's strength; but it is tyrannous to use it like a giant.
If God had wanted us to vote, he would have given us candidates.
I've been on a diet for two weeks and all I've lost is two weeks.
Go through your phone book, call people and ask them to drive you to the airport. The ones who will drive you are your true friends. The rest aren't bad people; they're just acquaintances.
You can't have a light without a dark to stick it in.
The most remarkable thing about my mother is that for thirty years she served the family nothing but leftovers. The original meal has never been found.
