In America, through pressure of conformity, there is freedom of choice, but nothing to choose from.

I think people want their illusions and writers are mostly illusion. When you read their words, you read a flattened, incomplete version of the writer.
It's innocence when it charms us, ignorance when it doesn't.
Get pleasure out of life...as much as you can. Nobody ever died from pleasure.
I barely had time to register them before those rifles were pointed at me.
A billion here, a billion there, pretty soon it adds up to real money.
Part of being creative is learning how to protect your freedom. That includes freedom from avarice.
There is surely a piece of divinity in us, something that was before the elements, and owes no homage unto the sun.
