The 8th edition of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc is stopped at the Contamines. Very bad weather conditions at the Seigne pass (rain, cold and fog) and markers that have been removed from their emplacements, making the race conditions too precarious, explain the decision. The organizers prefer to stop the race and bring back the 2,300 runners safe to Chamonix.

Chamonix - It is now confirmed : the race starts again, this time from Courmayeur, taking the CCC course (Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix), ie 98.5 km to 5618 m of positive ascent.The race will be reduced to 1500 runners, but by now it is difficult to know whether all the numbers will find takers and who will start among the favorites.
