In short order, his need for speed and soaring sneaker line collided in 2006 with the release of the Air Jordan 4 “Lightning.” Inspired by the Tour Yellow jackets worn in competition by Michael Jordan’s racing team, the Air Jordan 4 “Lightning” visualized velocity and moved accordingly. Released only to Team Jordan members signed in to Jumpman23.com with matching apparel, the revved up retros accelerated the idea of how boldly an iconic sneaker could be reimagined. After years in the vault, the Air Jordan 4 “Lightning” returns tomorrow, August 28 for the first time since its 2006 debut. As a nod to where it all started, the famous Flight script scores the tongue while the Tour Yellow upper and black mesh underlays point to the game’s evolution. Here's When You Can Cop the Air Jordan 4 "Military Black"

Back in September, The Sole Supplier revealed that the Air Jordan 4 "Military Black" was in the works. A stealthy take of the OG "Military Blue", it very quickly shot to the top of everyone's must-cop lists. Since then, we've heard nothing but radio silence, so we've written a little update of when you can expect to cop this coveted colourway! Insanely clean, the "Military Black" Air Jordan 4 features the exact same design and colourblocking as the aforementioned "Military Blue" but it switches the blue hues with some black tones instead. Boasting a predominantly leather base, the toebox is lined with a light grey suede, while rugged rubber elements also feature for that signature AJ4 aesthetic. A crisp white Jumpman makes its way to the heel badge, and shifting your focus down below, you'll find a Nike Air midsole that's as comfortable as it gets. Time for that all-important release information. Early reports suggested that the Nike Air Jordan 4 "Military Black" was set to drop on May 22nd, but our sources tell us that due to ongoing delays and supply chain issues, this has been pushed until June 25th. Air Jordan 4 "Blank Canvas" Is Styled With Colorful Paint Blobs on the Soles

In recent memory, we’ve seen Jordan Brand apply various themes and materials to its beloved Air Jordan 4. The silhouette was recently spotted out with a “Zen Master” tie dye upper to nod to Phil Jackson’s unique coaching style and now it has turned up in a clean “Blank Canvas” colorway, the latter of which has been unveiled through official images. This specific design somewhat carries similar elements to the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 4 from 2020 and Aleali May’s FNF Air Jordan 4 “Veteran’s Day” makeup. The full “Sail” palette is reminiscent of Virgil Abloh‘s take while the full canvas upper is similar to May’s design. Small notes of a creamy white tone appear on the eyelets, Jumpman logos and the interior lining for some slight contrasting. Down south, the midsoles split between an off-white mold on the forefoot and a “Sail” piece towards the rear. Bottoms are where it gets playful as fake paint blotches arrive on the treading in red, blue and yellow tones. The Air Jordan 4 “Blank Canvas” will be releasing as a women’s exclusive on February 22 for $200 USD likely via Nike and select retailers. |
