Tuesday UNIBOND PREMIER Eastwood Matlock 1 (2.10 @Skybet) 2 units Eastwood are currently 7th, they're one of the best home teams in the league and their manager finally brought in a couple of new strikers, Hearns from Hucknall and Rhead who scored 31 goals for Kidsgrove last season. This Saturday, they lost away at 11th Ashton, but before that had a great run. They have four home wins in a row (at home, they've lost only to probably the biggest title candidates, Gateshead, back in the first round) 3:2 against 15th Stamford, 1:0 against 5th Marine, 2:1 against 3rd Fleetwood and 1:0 against 19th Leek. Eastwood seems very ambitious this season and I like this odds so I decided to give it a try. Matlock are currently 10th. They're one of the worst away teams with 1-1-3 and goal-difference 3:8. They're one of the best home teams though (they even beat Conference North outfit Telford in the FA Cup 2nd qualifying round, but lost away from home in the 3rd round, at a struggling outfit from the Unibond North league, Harrogate Railway Athletic), but away from home they're nothing to be scared of. Their only away win this season happened at 16th Prescot Cables a month and a half ago and they also shared points at 21st, bottom of the table Frickley. 15th Stamford, 1st Witton and 3rd Fleetwood all managed to beat them and their away defeat at the struggling outfit from the league below this Saturday was arguably their worst match of the season. Matlock's players' self-confidence is pretty low at this moment and, what is even worse for them, a couple of players who weren't 100% fit all played in the Saturday's match that finished so bad for them. (Stanleybet, StanJames, Sportingbet,PaddyPower, Gamebookers, Bwin and Bet-at-home all offer 2.00 and even at that odds, I see a value in this bet...) FT 2:3 Prescot Cables Marine 2 (2.15 @Gamebookers) 2 units Prescot Cables are currently 16th in the Unibond Premier and they aren't very good at home (2-0-4). They managed to beat 14th Kendal back in the 2nd round (two months ago) and 11th Ashton three weeks ago but they lost to 8th Lincoln, 10th Matlock, 3rd Fleetwood and 2nd Guiseley. They have four defeats in a row (FA Cup defeat at Guiseley, league defeat at home to Guiseley, 1:6 away at league leaders Witton and, finally, this Saturday, 0:3 away at 6th Ossett) and they only scored one goal (conceded eleven) in these four matches. Marine are playing great lately. They are currently 5th and, after signing three new players recently, now they brought in another striker, O'Donnell from Conference North (league above) outfit Vauxhall Motors. Marine already beat Prescot Cables this season (only 1:0 at home, but Marine is now a much better team than it was month and a half ago) and they now have five wins in a row (goal-difference 18:5). They also have two away wins in a row (at 13th Ilkeston and at 19th Leek) and they haven't conceded a goal in their last two league matches (scored seven). Very nice odds, should be 1.90 max IMO... (Stanleybet offers fantastic 2.50 on a Marine away win but anything above 1.90 looks good to me... Bwin is the best of the rest with their 2.10...) FT 1:1 |
