Billericay Leyton 1 (1.62 @StanJames) 8/10 Billericay played two extremely hard matches in last seven days and managed to pick up two points (0:0 away at play-off candidates Carshalton and 1:1 at home against one of the biggest title favorites Chelmsford) but this is a much easier match for them and I except a strong win for the home side. Leyton is second worst outfit in Ryman Premier this moment they managed to pick up just one point in first four rounds. Billericay started the season great, with a 6:0 home win against new guys Hastings and a 0:2 away win at promotion candidates Hornchurch. After two tough draws, Leyton shouldn't be much of a problem for Billericay. Leyton's only point so far was earned in the first round, at home against new guys Harlow and after that came three defeats (1:2 at Hendon, 2:3 at Ramsgate, 1:3 against East Thurrock). They struggled last season and they will struggle again this season. 1.62 looks very nice. FT 4:0 Havant & Waterloovile Thurrock 1 (1.67 @Stanleybet) 7/10 (-1) Havant & Waterloovile Thurrock 1 (2.70 @Stanleybet) 2/10 Havant & Waterloovile are one of the biggest title candidates this season (just like last season, when they finished 3rd but failed to promote to Blue Square Premier via play-off) but had very strong opponents in these first rounds (I placed a bet on them in round 4 only, when they were playing at home against Hayes & Yeading and won 4:1). They managed to collect only four points in first three matches (home draw 0:0 against Braintree, away win 1:0 at Dorchester, away defeat 0:2 at Cambridge City), then came a 4:1 win against Hayes & Yeading and another draw, at very strong Eastbourne (they have 3 wins and 2 draws in first 5 rounds). Now they're playing home again, against Thurrock and I expect a strong home win again. Havant's best scorer Baptiste (last season's best scorer in Blue Square South with 28 league goals, 36 goals all together) should score again in this match, just like he did against Hayes, and Pacquette (13 league goals, 15 goals all together last season) should finally score too. Pacquette was suspended in first three matches (youngster Slabber who came from Stevenage was replacing him in the attack and scored against Hayes) and manager Baird decided to rest his dinamic duo against Eastbourne (two matches in three days, they both came in half an hour before the end). Slabber and Griffiths were playing upfront and Griffiths managed to score for the first time since arriving from Fisher. Defender Gregory and midfielder Jordan won't be playing for Havant due to suspension, but that shouldn't be much of a problem. Havant was, btw, lousy away from home last season too (if 0:2 at Cambridge City and 2:2 at Eastbourne are bothering you) but infront of their fans they're very good they've lost just two home games last season and one of them was in the 1st round against well look at that Cambridge City. Thurrock had a quiet summer and an awful pre-season run. Two Ryman Premier outfits managed to beat them (0:1 Maidstone, 2:4 Chelmsford), League 2 team Dagenham & Redbridge destroyed them 5:1 and West Ham reserves/junior team managed to beat them too (3:1). Last season's best scorer Akurang and some other players left the club and a couple of guys came (keeper Gore who got fired at Havant when they brought in a better keeper, defender Cole who is most probably out, midfielder Lincoln, two wingers...). Thurrock will be without their standard defender Anderson due to suspension. Thurrock started this season bad, they've lost away at fellow strugglers Weston-super-Mare (1:3), then lost at home against Lewes (2:3), then managed to grab a point at home against not very good Basingstoke outfit (1:1), lost away at Bishop's Stortford and finally managed to win, at home against Welling who started this season awful too (three defeats). Last season, Havant played at home against Thurrock at the end of the season and the result was 3:0. Baptiste and Pacquette both scored. This time I expect a similar outcome. FT 3:0 Bromley Hayes & Yeading 1 (1.62 @Blue Square) 6/10 After being a bit shy in first three rounds (1:1 at home against also newly promoted Bath City, 1:2 away defeat at Braintree, 2:2 away at Sutton), Bromley finally hit it off in rounds 4 & 5 (2:1 home win against Bognor Regis, 3:0 away win at very solid Fisher). They score a lot of goals, former Welsh U-21 forward Williams already scored 4 times (twice in last round against Fisher) and Bromley has no suspension problems. Their winning run should continue against Hayes. I wrote about newly merged Hayes & Yeading already and both time I placed a bet against them, they brought me money (1st round 1:2 at Lewes, 4th round 1:4 at Havant). They've also lost at home against Welling (0:1) and picked up only two home points so far against fellow strugglers Weston-super-Mare (2:2) and against newly promoted Hampton (0:0). This is what their fans wrote after that last match against Hampton & Richmond: ''It's games like that we simply cannot afford to be not getting 3 points from. We had the better of them, certainly for the last half hour, and haven't been able to capitalise. The lack of creativity in the final third is costing us; we've now gone over 300 minutes without a goal from open play, and that simply can't be afforded. The discipline is missing aswell; 2 red cards is not acceptable for this stage of the season, not least when it's two forwards which have been given thier marching orders...'' And this is what Hayes & Yeading fans are writing about these days: ''Heard today that two of our first team players are not happy and wish too move on,cant name them on here obviously but will be gutted to see them go...'' ''Just to say since his announcement as manager on the 8th of december 2006 his records in the league of yeading fc or united are: 6 wins, 7 draws, 17 losses. Now im not trying to say any thing but i think we need to see improvements?...'' Hayes' fans also think that scorer Knight should be on from the start but he is suspended for the next couple of games so that's not going to happen. Their best scorer Scott (9 goals last season) is out injured. Their first choice keeper Davies is also out and that's why manager brought in former Yeading keeper Preddie. He conceded 4 goals in his first match against Havant. FT 2:1 Eastleigh Sutton 1 (1.70 @Bwin) 5/10 Eastleigh started this season great, winning 4 times and losing only once (away at Bath City in round 2). They've managed to beat Cambridge (1:0 home), Braintree (2:0 away), Fisher (3:0 home) and Dorchester (1:0 away) all very good teams. Their goal-difference in last three matches is 6:0. Impressive, because Cambridge, Braintree and Fishers really have good teams this season. Eastleigh manager brought in a bunch of players from Fisher (including talented winger Scannell and defenders Piper and Riviere), experienced ex-Salisbury player Sales, and they have played very good against Premiership and Championship outfits in pre-season. For instance, they played against Portsmouth (Kranjcar was playing tried to score several times but failed and some other first-team players too) and lost only 0:1. Sutton are one of the biggest relegation candidates this season. They are still waiting for their first win of the season (0:1 away at Basingstoke, 0:0 home against St Albans, 2:2 home against Bromley, 0:3 away defeat at Weston-super-Mare and finally 2:3 home defeat against Maidenhead). Maybe they have a chance at home against Dorchester next Saturday, but this time, against high-flying Eastleigh outfit... I doubt it. They brought in a couple of players (some of them only on short-term loans though) but lost a couple too (including fans' favourite Matt Gray). Their defending is shocking (fans' words, not mine) and that 2:3 home defeat against freshly promoted Maidenhead outift managed to depress everyone involved with the club. FT 1:2 Leigh RMI Kettering OVER 2.5 (1.71 @Stanleybet) 5/10 Leigh RMI Kettering 2 (2.10 @StanJames) 2/10 Leigh RMI scored 6 and conceded 9 goals in 5 matches, Kettering scored 15 (!) and conceded 5. Over really is the most probable outcome here and 1.71 is simply too much = value = must place a 5/10 bet. Kettering has 5 straight wins in a row (1:0, 3:2, 6:0, 3:2 and finally 2:1) and their chances are properly valued by Skybet who gives us 1.73 for an away win. 2.10 is again too much Leigh RMI has two draws, two defeats and only one win, against one of the relegation candidates, Barrow. Home team will be without a couple of injured players but Leigh RMI players are always up for it they scored in every match except against Harrogate and Kettering scored at least twice in every match except against Stalybridge in the 1st round.
