Band Lineup: Shawn Cavallo - (vocals, guitar, keyboards, string programming), Anthony Moreino - (drums) and Michael Cavallo - (lead guitar).
LManic Drive is a christian rock band based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They were formerly known as the band One Cross. Manic Drive has toured in Canada and the United States and has performed with such bands as Thousand Foot Krutch, Skillet, Audio Adrenaline, Switchfoot, Downhere, PAX217, Red.
Manic Drive was nominated for Best Rock Alternative Album of the Year at the 2002 Vibe Awards. They were also nominated Best Rock Album of the Year and Best Rock/Alternative Song of the Year at the CGMA Covenant Awards in 2002. In 2003, they were nominated for Best Song of the Year at the Vibe Awards and continue to gain popularity in Canada and the US.
In the bands press material for the new release band lead vocalist Shawn Cavallo when asked about the new album states, “We wanted this album to be groundbreaking by making a record that stands out artistically in a way that is musically relevant to those in and out of the church. The main focus for Manic Drive from an artistic perspective is to challenge ourselves creatively to push beyond our previous limitations, trying new ideas and ultimately landing on something that will be fun to experience live as well as on an iPod.” Shawn continues, “We hope every Manic Drive release will be refreshing to our fans as we continue to grow artistically as a band and we hope our lyrics resonate with people and challenge them to take a stand in faith to impact the world around them.”
