DOUYE Beautifully texturing her pure, sultry and smoky vocals with a sensual, jazzy musical style, Nigerian born, Los Angeles based singer-songwriter Douye’ continues to broaden her base of appreciative and passionate fans all over the world. Growing up influenced by such jazz and R&B legends as Peggy Lee, Ray Charles, Billie Holliday, Stevie Wonder and Sade, the multi-faceted performer began singing in church at the age of seven and quickly began focusing on her future as a professional singer. By age ten, she was expressing her innermost emotions in poetry, which led naturally to her development as a compelling songwriter. In her mid-teens, she traveled to Europe to pursue her growing musical dreams, and she later immigrated to the United States to study voice at the acclaimed Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. After graduating from MI, Douye’ continued honing her singing, songwriting and musical direction, becoming a prolific writer and performing for audiences at clubs throughout Los Angeles. The title is a perfect reflection of Douye’s musical and life experiences leading up to her exciting emergence as an independent singer/songwriter. To this day, she complements her musicmaking with deep passions for writing poetry and collecting primitive art.

4.Your Favorite Enemies - Love Is A Promise Whispering Goodbye (2008) (Rock) (Rapidshare)

When Alex Foster (vocals), Jeff Beaulieu (guitar), Sef (guitar), Ben Lemelin (bass), Miss Isabel (vocals and keys) and Charles Moose Allicy (drums) got together to form Your Favorite Enemies in 2006, they decided to manage every single aspect of the band's career based on their community values and their "do it yourself" attitude. Already known for their commitment towards human rights, Foster being a fervent spokesperson for Amnesty International and a passionate youth speaker, Your Favorite Enemies' distinctive blend of dirty and polished types of melodic textures and their introspective and empowering lyrics instantaneously attracted musical fanatics from all over the world, who organically and spontaneously turned their passion for the band into an incredible multitude of street teams, communities, fan sites and forums emerging in every major city on the planet. Therefore, inspired by such astounding support and inundated by an impressive number of requests to buy Your Favorite Enemies’ nowhere-to-be-found music, the 6 musicians decided to create the label Hopeful Tragedy Records in April 2007 in order to offer the self-produced 5-song EP and fan-exclusive "And If I Was To Die In the Morning… Would I Still Be Sleeping With You"; released on June 1st, for only $10 worldwide, shipping included. However, facing a strong reluctance and a major lack of support from the band's former advisers, who doubted that any potential success would come out of such a daring operation, the musicians kept their vision of honoring their fans' loyalty with a ridiculously low and worldly-standardized cost for anyone wishing to purchase their EP, from Montreal to Tokyo. Since many people were expecting a monumental flop and a damaging move for the band's career, the decision to create a record label in order to sell their EP via their own online store turned out to be the determinant turning point for Your Favorite Enemies. The Montreal musicians ended 2007 with more than 30 thousand copies sold of their EP, a first European promotional headlining tour, unbelievable coverage by major international media, the creation of Hopeful Tragedy Records' multimedia branch dedicated to the development of new web initiatives and the production of a weekly podcast show on "YFE-TV"; different elements turning Your Favorite Enemies into one of the most exciting new "Do It Yourself" bands to emerge from the non-traditional music model. Needless to say that, if 2007 was a good indication of what the future had in store for Your Favorite Enemies, the following year turned out to be an undoubtedly interesting one for the 6 musicians from Montreal, who have been named as one of the top 5 bands to watch out for in 2008 by the Billboard Magazine; a quote which is hard to deny after the incredible success they had in 2008. Success which included being the first band ever to internationally broadcast a real-time live concert on their MySpace page, obtaining extraordinary success for their first Japanese tour, selling more than 60 thousand copies of their second album “Love Is A Promise Whispering Goodbye”, released in June 2008 on the band’s label, Hopeful Tragedy Records, and becoming the first band ever to write songs for the legendary video game franchise Final Fantasy. Greatly empowered by the amazing support of their faithful fans, Your Favorite Enemies is already in the studio working on new songs for what they described as “a fantastic imaginary voyage” for their third album to be released worldwide in 2009.

7.Booty Luv - Dance Dance CDM (2008) (Electronic,Dance) (Zshare,Megaupload)

Booty Luv is an English dance group formed in June 2006 via the Hed Kandi label. It is fronted by two R&B vocalists, Cherise Roberts and Nadia Shepherd, both of whom were in the original line-up of the successful hip hop band Big Brovaz. Their debut album peaked at #11 in the UK Album Chart and has so far spawned four big hits in their native UK. Booty Luv was created during early recordings of Big Brovaz' Re-Entry album when music executives offered Cherise and Nadia the chance to record and promote a new version of R&B/soul singer Tweet's club hit "Boogie 2nite". Following the poor sales of early singles from Re-Entry in mid-2006, the girls accepted the offer and began recording their new version of the song, initially only as a promotional track for the record label Hed Kandi. Six months later in December, however, Booty Luv's version of "Boogie 2nite" was decided to be released as an actual single in the UK and mainland Europe following positive reviews from club DJs on the dance scene.

10.Tygers Of Pan Tang - Animal Instinct (2008) (Rock) (Rapidshare)

The perfectly named Animal Instinct (Cargo Records, 2008) sees a welcome and highly impressive return for UK’s hard rocking Tygers Of Pan Tang. Their first album Wild Cat was released way back in 1980 and only guitarist Robb Weir remains. Back in the eighties they were among the leading lights of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal movement. The Animal Instinct Robb Weir follows sees the latest version of the Tygers returning in part to those halcyon days of the eighties. Highlights of this period came with 1981’s classic Spellbound and the following year’s The Cage their fourth studio album. It was shortly after this that the Tygers broke up for the first time, lacking the support of their label MCA and not able to find anyone to buy up their remaining contract. To mark the twentieth anniversary of their formation, the Tygers re-appeared at the tenth Wacken Festival. The response from the crowd to the memorable performance convinced Robb to re-launch the band. In 2001 he put the pieces together. The line up included Robb, bass player Brian West, guitarist Dean Robertson, and drummer Craig Ellis who all remain today. Two albums followed Mystical and Noises. Shortly after singer Richie Wicks left and was replaced by Italian vocalist Jacopo Meille. The Tygers name was saved and their reputation was further enhanced by some incendiary live performances. With the release of Animal Instinct the Tygers Of Pan Tang are well and truly back with a statement of intent. Excellently mixed and produced by Thunder’s Ben Matthews, Animal Instinct is a big slab of meaty sound. He captures the band in full flow, with a fresh immediacy. Jacopo Meille’s vocals are excellent throughout perfectly fitting the Tygers swagger. Opening with “Rock Candy”, not to be confused with Montrose’s track of the same name, it is clear that the band is back on something of a mission.
