Never Say Cant
I know this 3 year old. “Can’t” is very big with him. The other day my brother had his hands full and was trying to get outside. He asked the 3 year old (we’ll call him Johnny) to open the door. “I can’t” Johnny said without any hesitation. “What do you mean? Just open the door” my brother replied. Johnny looked at him and repeated “I can’t”. Exasperated, my brother encouraged him to try again. “Johnny, you can open the door. Just turn the knob and pull.” Johnny put his hand on the knob .
