Evo, odlučila sam ovaj post posvetiti hrvatskim križarima, škriparima, jer se ovih dana prisjećamo njih i njihovih vekih djela. Evo i nekih pojedinosti s mise koja je održana na brdu Mosor iznad Širokog Brijega. Na brdu Mosor iznad Širokog Brijega, svetom misom i skupom, obilježena je pogibija hrvatskih križara, škripara. Tradicionalno okupljanje je kraj kapelice i spomen obilježja, gdje su 18. rujna 1946. od strane UDBE pobijeni škripari, ostaci neporaženih vojnika NDH-a. Svetu misu, usprkos kišnom nevremenu, služili su franjevci, fra Martin Planinić, fra Bonifacije Barbarić i fra Leonardo Hrkać.
-Ovdje na mjestu gdje je pobijeno deset hrvatskih vitezova, okupljamo se usprkos svemu i nevremenu, da im odamo počast i ne zaboravimo ih. Oni su imali viziju, a bez vizije nema ni života ni vjere. Da nije bilo njihove vizije ne bi bilo ni nas. A nama, Hrvatima u BiH i danas je potrebna vizija. Zato ne zaboravimo naše vitezove, jer sa ovog brda Mosor, hrvatski glas se daleko čuje, kazao je fra Bonifacije Barbarić u propovjedi na misi.
Izaslanstva stradalničkih udruga i obitelji poginulih škripara položili su cvijeće na kameno spomen obilježje na mjestu pogibije. Na kamenu je uklesano deset imena hrvatskih bojovnika koji se nisu htjeli predati partizanima do ujesen 1946. Udba ih je na prijevaru ubila, te još dvoje njihovih suradnika. Njihova su tijela zapalili, a mjesto je bilo dugo bez ikakvog obilježja. Organizacijski odbor i stradalničke udruge brinu se o organizaciji skupa i održavanju spomen obilježja.
ŠKRIPARI-NAVIJAČI ŠIROKOG BRIJEGA
Kao što Dinamo ima Bed Blue Boyse, Hajduk Torcidu, a Rijeka Armadu, tako i Široki ima navijače, ŠKRIPARE. Iako manje poznati i oni za Široki navijaju iz sveg srca, s puno ljubavi i igračima Širokog nikad ne nedostaje potpore. Osim što navijaju za Široki, oni su vjerni navijači i hrvatske reprezentacije, neki najvjerniji su čak pratili VATRENE i u Njemačkoj. Sudjeluju i u izvođenju navijačke pjesme IGRAJ, IGRAJ HRVATSKA, zajedno sa Ivanom Galićem, Galom i prijateljima. Ta pjesma je obrada njihove navijačke pjesme IGRAJ, IGRAJ ŠIROKI. Kao što možete i sami zaključiti, ime su si dali u čast velikim hrvatskim križarima. Ako pitate Škripare, oni će vam reći da su veliki hrvatski križari bili najveći heroji Širokog Brijega i da su samo jedni takvi, da se takvi ne ponavljaju. A što drugo reći nego počivali u miru hrvatski križari, svaka im čast i neka im je laka hrvatska zemlja!
