Feature Films Competition (Extract from the regulations)

The eligible films must have been completed after January 1, 2006 and have the following characteristics:
• first or second feature films (previous feature films, either on video formats or made for television, are not considered)
• produced or co-produced in Europe
• running time of over 60 minutes
• 35-mm or 16-mm format standard prints (films shot on video formats must be transferred to 35 mm before January 2008 in order to be eligible).
• the films must be commercially unreleased in France (neither in theatres nor on television) before the festival.

Short films competition (Extract from the regulations)

2 competitive sections concerning short films:
• first European short films
• first French short films

The eligible films must have been completed after January 1, 2006 and have the following characteristics:
• Only first short films (previous films made on Super 8 or video formats, and student films are not considered)
• produced or co-produced in Europe
• running time of less than 59 minutes
• 35-mm or 16-mm format standard prints (films shot on video formats must be transferred to 35 mm before January 2008 in order to be eligible).

Student films competition (Extract from the regulations)

The eligible films must have been completed after January 1, 2006 and have the following characteristics:
• running time of less than 59 minutes
• produced in a European Film School or Film Department of a European University
• 35-mm or 16-mm format standard prints. Video films are accepted in this section only on Beta format.

Animated films competition (Extract from the regulations)

The eligible films must have been completed after January 1, 2006 and have the following characteristics:
• first short film or student film
• running time less than 59 minutes
• produced or co-produced mainly in Europe
• 35-mm or 16-mm format standard prints. Video films are accepted in this section only on Beta format.
