Casanova
On je jedan od najsjajnijih novih hollywoodskih zvijezda.Iako mu se najpoželjniji zlatni kipić na svijetu još nije nasmiješio,nema dvojbe da će mu ta sadašnja ''kaubojska'' uloga u ''Planini Brokeback'' obilježiti sadašnju i buduću karijeru.
Zamalo kuhar!
Kad je mladi Australac 1999.godine prvi put došao u središte pozornosti, pratio ga je glas da je zgodan,sexi glumac koji ipak nije sposoban odigrati neke ozbiljne role.Nakon nekoliko milijuna uloga prvu pravu priliku pružio mu je surodnjak Mel Gipson kada ga je odabrao da glumi njegova sina u povijesnom spektaklu ''Patriot''.
Iako film nije doživio očekivani veliki uspijeh, Heath je iskoristio danu mu priliku i već u slijedečem filmu ''Legenda o vitezu'',osvojio srca publike, ali i naklonost do tada mrzovoljne kritike.
Pranjem auta do love
Rođen je u Perthu.Roditelji su mu se rastali kada mu je bilo deset godina pa je uz stariju sestru dobio još i dvije polusestre.Glumom se počeo baviti gotovo slučajno.Naime, u osnovnoj školi mogao je birati između dviju slobodnih aktivnosti-kuhanja i glume, no kako nije bio baš odveć spretan za štednjakom,a i starija sestra Kate bila je član lokalne kazališne trupe,uputio se na dramski tečaj.
Heath je uspješno igrao hokej na travi,no čak ga ni sport,koji je bio njegova druga velika strast,nije mogla odvući od glume.
Iako nesporno talentiran,nikako nije dobivao priliku da to i dokaže,pa je s najboljim prijateljem Trevorom,kada im je bilo 17 godina,zapalio za Sydney,uvjeren da će ondje ostvariti svoje snove.
Bez love u đžepu,snalazio se na razne načine da preživi.Do svoje prve prave uloge u niskobuđžetnom filmu ''Blackrock'' oprao je stotine automobila da bi zaradio koji dolar.
Uslijedio je nekoliko uloga u TV serijama i filmovima,bez ozbiljnijeg uspjeha,no Heath nije odustajao.
Australija mu je postala premala pa se uputio u američki grad snova-Los Angeles.
Teen srcolomac?
Ipak s jakim australskim akcentom nikako nije mogao nastupati u američkim filmovima,sve dok mu također australski redatelj Gregor Jordan nije dao ulogu u crnoj komediji ''Iz ruke u ruku''.Ona mu je otvorila vrata američke filmske scene i uskoro je zaigrao i u odličnoj teen komediji ''10 razloga zašto te mrzim''.
Mediji su ga odmah proglasili novim teen srcolomcem,no on je oduvijek težio ozbiljnim ulogama pa je bio presretan kad ga je Mel Gipson pozvao na snimanje ''Patriota''.
Iako je definitivno postao priznato glumačko ime,sve do filma ''Planina Brokeback'' nije se afirmirao kao glumac spreman na najzahtjevnije uloge.
Premda ju je publika dobro prihvatila,''Ledenda o vitezu'' ipak je bila lagana zabava,australska povijesna drama ''Ned Kelly'' potpuno je propala,te razvikana ''Braća Grimm'',nakon čega su mnogi poricali kraj njegove karijere.
Prijatelji kažu da Hetha uz iznimnu inteligenciju krasi i strahovita tvrdoglavost,a to znači da od želje da bude ozbiljan glumac nije odustajao.

Svoje padove,kaže,namjerno je forsirao.''Htio sam uništiti svoju karijeru,da bi mogao nastaviti kako ja to želim.Nisam bio sretan ulogama u koje su me svrstavali,ne vidim sebe kao plavokosog ljepotana.Trebalo mi je malo vremena no čini se da sve počinje nabolje.''
Iako su ga mnogi vidjeli kao budučeg Bonda,a Oliver Stone nudio mu je prije nego Colinu Farrellu glavu ulogu u ''Aleksandru'',Heath je,čini se,tek sada spreman za velike glavne role.
Rođeni zavodnik
U ljubavnom pak životu,otkad je počeo koračati hollywoodskim pločnicima,nije mu falilo uspjeha.Prva zvjezdana ljubav bila mu je Heather Graham,najpoznatija po ulozi u filmu ''Boogies Nights''.
Glasine su ga kao i druge glumce,spajale s mnogim hollywoodskim ljepoticama,no sljedeća ozbiljna veza bila je s 11 godina starijom Naomi Watts,koju ponajviše pamtimo po odličnoj ulozi u hororu ''Krug''.
Razlika u godinama nije im smetala,a Heath je jednom izjavio da i inače više voli zrelije žene.
''Starije se žene ne prave starijima,poput mladih cura'',rekao je svojedobno.Iako su najavljivali i zaruke,nakon dvogodišnje veze, Naomi i Heath su se razišli,a on je na snimanju ''Planine Brokeback'' pokleknuo pred čarima partnerice Michelle Wiliams.
Čini se da je napokon našao onu pravu jer su postali roditelji male Matilde.

Iako ga već možemo gledati u ulozi velikog zavodnika Casanove,a uskoro će u kina i romantična drama ''Candy'',Heath trenutačno ne planira nove projekte u skorijoj budućnsti.
''Pokušat ću manje raditi ove godine,a Michelle neka donosi lovu.Preuzet ću veću ulogu kao roditelj i mislim da bi to svatko tko može trebao učiniti.''
Heath je,priznaje,postao prava kućanica!Kuha,sprema,pere,ide ne tržnicu i uživa u tome.Malo mu vremene ostaje ze odmor,no ljubav prema obitelji,kaže,važnija je od spavanja!
