Naš dragi Johnny prvi put je zamijećen u seriji 21 Jump Street, gdje je glumio poručnika Toma Hansona. Njegov lik opisan je kao osoba koju nitko ne voli zbog promjenjivog raspoloženja. Unatoč tome, svi su ga voljeli, ponajviše zbog izleda (a zbog čega drugog?!?).
Johnny je 1990. godine, nakon 4 sezone, odlučio napustiti seriju i posvetiti se filmskoj karijeri. Danas smo mu zbog toga svi itekako zahvalni!
U ovom malom videu Tom (Johnnyjev lik) uči kako biti gangster. Iskreno, baš mu ne ide najbolje...
