Red Hot Chili Peppers su,bez ikakve dvojbe,jedan od najvecih rock bendova na nasoj Majci Zemlji. Njihova je karijera pocela 1983.g. u klubovima Los Angelesa,te je njihova glazba mjesavina rocka,funka,punka pa cak i rapa. U svojoj dvadesetgodisnjoj karijeri prodali su desetke milijuna albuma i tjerali kriticari da pokrenu svoje mozdane vijuge da smisljaju komplimente nad komplimentima. Moram i reci da je njihova karijera jedna od najludih i najkaoticnijih u povijesti rocka. Kroz bend su prosla sedmorica gitarista i cetiri bubnjara. Droga,alkohol i smrt su neprestano nadvijali nad neunistivim ljutim papricicama. Danasnja postava Red Hot Chili Peppersa ima samo dva originalna clana: Anthony Kiedisa i Michaela 'Flea' Balzarya. Prvi gitarist i jedan od osnivaca Red Hot Chili Peppersa,Hillel Slovak je umro 25.lipnja 1988.g. od predoziranja heroinom. Hillelova je smrt spasila zivot samome Kiedisu,te je on odlucio prosetati do klinike za odvikavanje. Uspio je,ali je bend bio pred raspadom. Bubnjar,Jack Irons je napustio bend jer je bio uplasen za svoj zivot zbog ogromnih kolicina droge koju su svi uzimali. Jacka je zamijenio Chad Smith,a Hillela genijalni John Frusciante.John je u pocetku svirao Hillelov stila,ali je kasnije poceo stvarati svoj. Prvu zlatnu plocu su dobili za njihov cetvrti album 'Mother's Milk',ali su postali poznati svojim legendarnim albumom 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik'.Nakon sto su snimili spot za pjesmu 'Under the Bridge',John je,kako da kazem,poludio i odlucio napustiti bend. Zamijenio ga je Dave Navarro (danas Panic Channel) i sa Peppersima je snimio ne bas dobar 'One Hot Minute'. 1998.g. John se vratio u bend i zajedno sa Peppersima je snimio odlican 'Californication' ,a 2002.g. 'By the Way'. 2006.g. su snimili dvostruki album 'Stadium Arcadium'. Prvo je bilo zamisljeno da 38 snimljenih pjesama objave na tri pojedinacna albuma koji bi izlazili do kraja 2007 godine. Koliko se dobro sjecam,mislim da je Kiedis rekao da mu to ne bi odgovaralo jer je u odlicnoj fazi i da pjesme samo izlaze iz njega. Odlucili su se odreci 14 pjesama i na dvostruki album staviti 24 pjesme. Kriticari su 'Stadium Arcadium' proglasili najboljim albumom koji su papricice ikad snimile.
