...I was sitting, alone, smoking the day's last cigarette in silence, feeling the chill rising up my spine intertwined with a sensation of loneliness and loss. Maybe there was something in the curling smoke and senseless thought, but I couldn't capture the beauty, the meaning...and at that moment a simple white flower bathing in the song of an early-rising bird made more sense than all of my existence.
