Treći nastavak ovog mjuzikla počinje skoro izgubljenom utakmicom Wildcatsa i pjesmom
Now Or Never koju pjevaju Troy, Wildcats i u jednom djelu Gabriella. Wildcats neočekivano
pobjeduju uz pomoć Rakete, Jimmie, kojeg je Troy pozvao u igru.
Profesorica glume na satu kaze da ima 4 prijave za Julliard, Ryan, Sharpey, Kelsi i na
iznenadenje svih, stipendista za kosarku na University of Albuquerque, Troy.
Tu je naravno i nastup u mjuziklu u kojem ce glavnu ulogu imati Troy i Gabriella.
Sharpay nade osobnu asistenticu Tiaru.
Mjuzikl odlično napreduje, ali postoji problem za Gabriellu i naravno za Troya.
Naime Gabriella je dobila priliku, posebno razmatranje učenika za Stanford.
Ona se oprasta od Troya i odlazi, no kad Troy saznaje Odlazi po nju.
Sharpay zamjenjuje Gabriellu u 1. cinu, a Jimmie Troya, a Tiara naruči sebi
kostim kao i Sharpayin, i pokuša zavladati kao i Sharpay, ali Sharpay je naravno
Pobjedi, pojavi se na sceni niodkuda i zasjeni je.
Na kraju nakon svega, djele se diplome, Ryan i Kelsi su dobili stipendiju za
Julliard, Taylor ide na Yale,Sharpay na University of Albuquerque, Gabriella
ide na Stanford, a Troy se odluči za Berkeley gdje će biti bliže Gabrielli i studirat
košarku ali i kazalistnu umjetnost.
