Eazy-E je rođen 7.9.1964. godine u L.A-u. Živio je u siromašnom i ozloglašenom kvartu zvanom Compton. Kao klinac je na ulici počeo zarađivati dilanjem lakih droga. Od novca koji je zaradio otvorio je svoju autopraonicu. U drugoj polovici 80-ih godina prošlog stoljeća počeo se baviti rapom. Osnovao je svoju nezavisnu izdavačku kuću Ruthless Records u koju je okupio svoje kompiće s kojima je ubrzo osnovao grupu N.W.A. Njegov prvi solo album "Eazy-Duz-It" izašao je 1988. godine u produkciji Dr.Drea i uz liričku pomoć Cubea i MC Rena. S albuma su skinuti hitovi "Boyz N Da Hood", "Eazy-Duz-It" i "We Want Eazy", pjesme koje su ubrzo postale popularne na zapadnoj američkoj obali, ali i šire. Eazy-E se smatra jednim od začetnika groznice koju su američki mediji ubrzo nazvali gangsta rap. 1989. godine Eazy je formirao grupu N.W.A. (Niggaz Wit' Attitudez), koju su osim njega činili Dr.Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren i DJ Yella. Njihovi legendarni albumi "Straight Outta Compton" (1989) i "Niggaz4Life" (1991) značili su revoluciju za hip-hop glazbu i porast popularnosti zapadne obale u odnosu na New York, koji je dotad dominirao scenom.  Nakon raspada grupe, Eazy je nastavio raditi solo. Prvo je snimio EP "5150: Home 4 Tha Sick" (1992), a nakon toga i album "It's On (Dr.Dre) 187 Murder" (1993), koji je bio posvećen njegovom beefu s Dr.Dreom. Početkom 1995. godine Eazy-E je saznao i odmah objavio informaciju kako je zaražen AIDS-om. Njegova borba za život je kratko trajala i nažalost Eazy-E ju je izgubio 26.3.1995. godine. Iste godine izašao je njegov posthumni album "Str8 Off Tha Streetz of Muthaphukkin' Compton", koji je on snimao neposredno prije smrti. Što se diskografije tiče, 2002. godine je izašao "Impact of a Legend" EP s njegovim dotad neobjavljenim pjesmama i bonus video materijalom.  Nije potrebno naglašavati koliko je Eazy-E krajem 80-ih i u prvoj polovici 90-ih godina prošlog stoljeća utjecao na hip-hop, tako da se čak i danas pojavljuju MC-ji (npr.
