Silver Falls is certainly one of Mount Rainier National Park's finest waterfalls for sure. Even though not nearly as tall as others in the park, Silver Falls makes up for its lack of height with sheer force and power. This is a power punchbowl waterfall. Silver Falls definitely packs 2x the power and force than Wahclella Falls (one of my favorites in the Columbia River Gorge) and if you have been there you know how powerful that waterfall can be. The name might be a little (showcasing the silvery blue water) but it is another fine example of the impressive colors of the Ohanapecosh River in the park. I achieved this image with some ingenuity, the sun was blazing down on this beast and I did not expect this to turn out, but I wanted to use the sunlight to paint some of the surrounding rocks. I am pleased with how that result turned out. This is a returner, you will no doubt see future images of Silver Falls popping up in my stream. Thanks for checking this out. Enjoy!
