Alicia Keys vs. Britney Spears feat. Peter van Mensch
Peter van Mensch je ime koje svaki student muzeologije na svitu izgovara s poštovanjem. A Peter van Mensch je bi naš profesor taman malo otkad se rastavi od žene i poče sa svojih 50-tak godina živit sam. I priča nan je kako je bi fasciniran s Britney Spears i kako je ima njen poster u prirodnoj veličini na vratima stana. Britney je suvereno vladala životom Petera van Menscha dok… dok ni napunila 20 godina, a u međuvremenu se pojavila Alicia Keys sa svojim klavirom, pletenicama i 19 godina. Alicia je zaminila Britney na vratima njegovog stana, “a svaki put kad ona zapjeva I keep on fallin' in and out of love with you to ravno meni u srce ulazi” govori je Peter van Mensch.
Peter van Mensch is a name every museology student anyplace in the world mentions with utter respect. And Peter van Mensch was our professor right at the time he divorced and in the age of around 50 started living alone. He was telling us about his fascination with Britney Spears and the supersize poster of her he’d put on his kitchen doors. Britney reigned Peter van Mensch’s life until… …until she turned 20 and Alicia Keys emerged with her piano, braids and 19 years. Alicia replaced Britney on his kitchen doors, “and every time she sings I keep on fallin' in and out of love with you it goes straight to my heart.” Peter van Mensch was saying.

Dakle, pojavila se Alicia Keys. Svidila Nan se njena muzika, a s Cimericom smo posebno guštali u spotovima. Alicia Keys imala je vrhunske frajere u spotovima, a ovo je lik iz prva dva spota. Dobar Nan je i oni iz You don't know my name (klik).

So, Alicia Keys emerged. We liked her music and with our Flatmate we particularly enjoyed in her videos. Alicia Keys always had supreme looking guys in her videos, and this is the one from her first two videos. We also like the one from the You don't know my name (click).


Alicia ne pleše
Dok smo gledali njene spotove Cimerica i Min smo s olakšanjen ustanovili da Alicii svaka čast na glasu i stasu, ali da stvarno nema mota. Samo pogledajte oni prvi spot (klik) i vidt ćete kako bezveze mlati rukama. To nan (i Nama i njon) je bilo drago jer su nan već bile dosadile sve te koke koje pjevaju, plešu, dobro izgledaju tipa Shakira, J. Lo., Beyonce itd.
Alicia doesn’t dance
Whilst watching her videos the Flatmate and us were glad to discover that although Alicia looks good and sounds good, she isn’t much of a dancer. Just check her first video (klik), and you’ll see her uncoordinated moves. We (both us and the Flatmate) were glad about it because we had enough of all these chicks that sing, dance, and look good e.g. Shakira, J. Lo., Beyonce etc.


O čemu pričaju Jehovini svjedoci
Na putu prema Baušteli često prođemo ku dvi Jehovine svjedokinje koje stoju i u ruci držu Kulu stražara. I razgovaraju jedna s drugom. Uvik se pitamo je li oni razgovaraju o misionarenju ili o sličnim pitanjima duha, ili se tužu jedna drugon na zdravje i likare i dicu i muže i tako normalne priče žena u srednjim godinama. Ovo pričamo zato što smo čuli da je Prince iša u subotare i isto se pitamo kako to izgleda s njim hodit okolo po kućama i propovijedat vjeru. Je li se osti glazbe radi vire? Ako ije, bilo bi Nan ža.
Jer Nama najdraža pjesma od Alicie Keys zapravo Princeova.



What Jehova’s witnesses talk about
On our way to work we often pass by two Jehova witnesses ladies that just stand and hold booklets in their hands. And talk to each other. We’ve been wondering do they talk about missionary work and similar question of spirit, or they are just complaining about health and kids and husbands and so, just normal subjects of the middleaged ladies. We’re telling this because we’ve heard Prince has became a Jehova witness and we’re also wondering how would it feel to follow him around the neighbourhoods and preach. Had he left his music for the sake of the faith? If so, we feel very bad.
Because our favourite Alicia Keys song is actually Prince’s.


Koncert
I na kraju, koncert. Prvo pitanje, što ćemo obuć naravno. Odlučili smo se za čuvene crnačke rebatinke (klik), a gore smo se narešili Babarinom psihodeličnog uzorka. Look je bi urbanocool, a podsjeća je malo na Aliciin top u spotu Girlfriend (klik). OK, Min nismo imali bubrige vanka, ali općeniti dojam je bi sličan.

The concert
And finally, the concert. Ofcourse, the first question was what we’re going to wear. We decide on our favourite jeans and the Bib of the psychedelic pattern. The look was urbancool, and it reminded a bit of Alicia’s look int the Girlfriend video (click). OK, we've covered the kidney area but the overall impression was quite simmilar.


Prima Domu sportova kretali su se buljuci žena. Nismo mogli virovat koliko žena na jednemu mistu. Većinom su isto bile urbanocool sređene tipa izlazak u Papayu/Piranhu/Casablancu/Coloseum. U Domu sportova miljun svita. Ne bi da Mišo Kovač pjeva pa se skupilo toliko čejadi. Zapravo, ne bi da Lenny Kravitz i Julio Iglesias zajedno pjevaju pa se skupilo toliko žena.

A koncert, koncert je bi odličan. Stvarno vrhunski muzičari, scena jednostavno glamurozna i glamurozno jednostavna, a posebno nan se svidi podij na kojen je bi klavir koji je iša naprid nazad i vrti se livo desno. Alicia zapravo ima i više mota nego što smo mogli zaključit iz spotova. U glavi je prelipa, nevjerojatno opuštena na sceni, ma prava profesionalka. Osim što je po našen mišljenju bila očajno obučena. Ova pazarska majica s leptirom koji blišći, gaće koje jon ne stoju i sjajni tregeri, mislimo, totalno bezveze.

There were hordes of women going towards the concert hall. We couldn’t believe how many women are grouped at one place. As if it is a concert of Lenny Kravitz and Julio Iglesias.
The concert itself was great. The marvellous musicians, glamorous scene, and we especially liked the podium with the piano that was going back and forth and spinning from lef to right. Alicia is a better dancer than one would thought by watching her videos. She is incredibly beautiful and relaxed on scene, the real professional. But there is just one thing. We think her clothes were awfull. The cheaplooking T-shirt with a butterfly, the pants that don’t really fit her, the shiny suspenders… No way, no way.


Ali, svejedno koncert je bi odličan, odličan i jadno nan je drago što smo bili i ni nan ža ni jedne uložene, teško zarađene bauštelske, kune.
A sad nan se cilo vrime u glavi vrtu njeni stihovi s prekrasnom aliteracijom.

But, the concert was great and we really enjoyed it. And for a long we’ll have her lyrics and this beautiful alliteration in our head.
