Grazovanje ludom radovanje - Grazing

Draghi Nashi,
Bilo je to u 5. misec kad smo pohodili konzumerističku Meku Graz i poklonili se u hramovima H&M i IKEA.
Što smo kupili? Ništa spektakularno, šoping ni bitan u oven slučaju, bitno je da naša guzica vidi put.
I tako smo se nakon shoppinga šetali po sunčanem Grazu. Kunsthaus smo već obašli, na otoku na Muri obavezno popijemo kafu i zato smo se ovi put makli s uobičajenih turističkih ruta. Skrenuli smo uzbrdo, hodili ulicama s finim butigama i finim Austrijancima koji su ispijali skupe kafe. Zajedno sa zrakama sunca upijali smo i Mitteleuropu.

It was May when we made our pilgrimage to the consumerist Mecca of Croatians – Graz, Austria – where we adorned the temples of H&M and IKEA.
What have we bought? Nothing spectacular, shopping is not relevant in this case, it is trip that matters.
So, we were strolling around sunny Graz. We've already visited Kunsthaus, and we always have a coffee on the Island on the Mur so we decided to get off our beaten path. We turned uphill and walked the streets with expensive shops and polite Austrians drinking expensive coffees. We were soaked in Mitteleurope.

Onda smo vidili put koji je vodi prema dvorcu na vrhu. Kako nikad nismo bili gore veselo smo se uputili za japanskim turistima i škljocali aparatom. Sve nam je bilo lipo.
Kad smo došli do ulaza u niki tunel u očima su nam se pojavili upitnici. Ali čim smo vidili da se ulazi na vlastitu odgovornost osjetili smo zov avanture i ušli.

Then we saw the street taking towards the castle on top of the hill. Since we never been there we decided to start an adventure.
Then we arrived to the entrance of a tunnel. We didn’t know where it takes, but as soon as we saw that we enter on our own responsibility we felt the call of the adventure and went in.


Prvi tuneli probijeni su u Schlossbergu 1943. i bili su skloništa. 20-tak ulaza vodi do 5 km skloništa koji mogu primit skoro 50000 ljudi.

In 1943, the first galleries were driven into the Schlossberg to serve as a shelter in case of bombing. Approx. 20 entrances led to 5 km of shelter for nearly 50.000 people.


Onda smo došli do lifta. Lift je sjaji plavom svjetlošću, a min smo imali osjećaj kako da smo u filmu o James Bondu. Posebno zato što je lift bešumno klizi brzinom svjetlosti.

Then we came to a lift. Lift was glowing and blue, and we had a feeling as we are in a James Bond movie. Particularly because the lift was sliding with the speed of light.


Ukrcali smo se i odjedanput stvorili na vrhu Schloßberga. Wow, rekli smo dok nam se pod nogama prostira Graz i šumila Mura.

We went in and suddenly we were on top of Schloßberg. Wow, we said while Graz and Mur were lying under our feet.

I na kraju. Kruna našega shoppinga. U Kunsthaus nam se ni dalo poć gledat izložbu, ali butigu nema šanse da propustimo. Artifarti kič koji je a) u muzeju i b) skup samim tim prestaje bit kič.

Finally. The crown of our shopping. We didn’t feel like seeing the exhibition in Kunsthaus, but no way we’d miss the museum shop. Artyfarty kitsch that is a) in a museum and b) expensive isn’t kitsch any more.

Ovu posudu za kokice smo kupili za svoj topli dom čiji su stanovnici apsolutno opsjednuti kokicama za mikrovalnu. Naša mikrovalna ih neumorno peče. Samo se još ne možemo složit hoćemo li posudu koristit za goste ili samo za nas.
We bought this popcorn bowl because our household is crazy about microwave popcorns. Our microwave makes them around the clock. We just have to agree whether we’ll use this bowl for our guests or just for us.
