CASA DEL SOUL/PHRUNKY

Evo stavit cu playlistu jednog od nekoliko madrfakr DJ-a iz my favorite CASA DEL SOUL/PHRUNKY udruge. LITTLE MIKE.

LITTLE MIKE CHART: JUNE 2004
In no real order:
1. Stefan Goldman: Shimmer (Wink Groove Mix): Ovum
Damn, this thing is good. The simple use of effects on this remix make this track stand out. Simple, yet extremley effective.
2. New Electric Dog: Buzzfunk EP: Was Not Was
Imagine if Tejada joined forces with Akufen, then let the fellows at both Brique Rouge and Adult Only take control. Quarky, funky and delicious.
3. Phonique: Where The Party's At (Freestyle Man Thirsty Monk Mix): Crosstown Rebels
As Mazi calls it, Telectro. The sound of the future... digital house music with some serious floor rockin' funk. Works every time.
4. Demarkus Lewis: The Hustler EP: Vista
Best thing I have hear Demarkus produce. Standout track is "Frequency In Motion." Twisted, acidic and bootylicious. Awesome record from a great producer.
5. Grin & Mankey: 3 Weeks On The Trot: Evasive
Borderline progressive-esque. Driving dirty tech-house music with plenty of that good ol' spaced out chord structure. Perfect record for late night parties.
6. Hector Moralez & Chris Carrier: Who Is This?:Nightshift
These guys are on fire lately. Bleepy, bangin house music that twists the minds and makes the dancefloor bounce. More please....
7. A Jackin Phreak: Acid House Obsessions: Brique Rouge
Three tracks of nasty, gritty 303 action. Get's em screaming every time I drop it. All three tracks are stellar pieces of acieeeeeed.
8. Eric Erickson: Black Sand EP: Kass
Spaced out, lush tech-house that stimulates the emotional side of the chin strokers on the dancefloor. Beautiful key structure here, and awesome sounds throughout.
9. Abe Duque: What Happened?: Abe Duque
Blake Baxter on the vocals, 303's in the forefront. Dirty, acid house bringing back the old school... eh.. who am I kidding. I was still in diapers when this acid revolution came around.... but i still love it.
10. Norma Jean Wright: You Lift Me Up (Brett Johnson's Beats): Look At You
Brett's original mix is not my cup of tea, but the beats on the inside track rock it out proper. Twisted sound FX, jackin' beats, and enough push to rock w/o a bassline. Go Brett!
11. Nick Holder: The Other Mixes Vol.1: NRK
Solid Groove give us a fuckin' banging remix that sounds wicked in the larger rooms. Solid Groove are on top of it right now. The Freaks give us some jackin' weirdness that makes em' shimmy and shake on the floor. Excellent release from NRK!
12. Fred Everything: That Thang (Phil Weeks & Jossua Moog Robsoul Mix): 20:20 Vision
Not what I expected from Phil Weeks, but not a bad thing at all. He took away the quarks and bleeps, and replaced em with some groovy shuffles and beats. Awesome groover for a patient crowd.
13. Krikark: Boulevard: Katapult
Twisted music from France (I believe.) Tracky, nasty, dirty and druggy. But with a beatin' kick drum that does the damage when played loud.
14. Rene' Breitbarth: With A Little Luck...: Triebstoff
Is it ok to chart an entire album? This thing is a masterpiece, and its impossible to pick just one track to chart. Everything on here will be played everywhere.
15. Xavier Mathias: Contagious (Little Mike Mix): Phrunky
Been playing it out, and it's been working well... so gonna chart it. The new one from an upcoming Phrunky Release... and the EP ain't so bad either! :-)
16. Frankie: Rush (John Tejada Rmx): Frankie 03
Tejada never disappoints. Blippy, bleepy, minimal goodness from one of the best producers out there. This thing is so simple and effective, I will never get tired of it.
17. Maetrik: Being Used (Brian Aneurysm Rmx):Iron Box
Beautiful forward thinking tech-house from a producer who is quickly becoming one of my personal favorites. Excellent track to play at the afterhours party... or for an extremley intelligent crowd.
18. Ty Tek: Filthy, Naughy Little Beats: Phrunky CDR
Ty's little tribute to our Proton show.... jackin, dark, and just like the title says....filthy, and naughty.
19. David Duriez: Rasied With The Wolves: Gourmet
Some of the best stuff to come from David's studio, on one of my favorite record labels at the moment. Nice and jackin', intelligent, and creative. Good work!
20. Donnacha Costello: Grape: Minimise
I have NO idea where I will ever be able to play this piece of aural art (besides my house), but it's one of the coolest, most beautiful minimal records I've ever heard.

AND FOR THE OLD SCHOOL HOUSE TRACK OF THE MONTH:

SWAG: DARK CORNERS EP: JUS' TRAX
